I'll be damned. Robutti bum-rushed Murray and just clobbered him down with a relentless barrage hooks from the get-go. Scored a knockdown, then jumped on the kid and scored another even harder one from which Murray didn't get up.

TKO1!!

Nice upset for the local Buenos Aires crowd to cheer for. Robutti came in 12-7, and Murray was 7-0.

 

This porker may be a motorboatable 315¾, but he can fight! (at least, more so than can Murray)

 

Robutti gulping for air every few words in his victory interview. Seems like he's going to pass out. Most winded I've seen a boxer from 90 seconds of action.

 

KO was pretty satisfying to watch, though, as Murray looks kind of like a supersized Logan Paul.

Junior is the son of Argentine boxing legend and two division champion Omar "El Huracán" Narváez, who is also working his corner.

 

Junior Andrés Narvaez is the child of Omar Narvaez the legendary Flyweight, Super Flyweight world champion.

Not exactly matching the kid tough, although tbf he's only 3-0.

Martínez is 0-6, only stopped once but has suffered at least one knockdown in all six losses.

I love the Flash but it's honestly kinda bs that he gets to just waltz into a world title match (even an interim WBA one) being 0-2 in his last pair of contests and winless since 2021. Both losses coming at bantam, no less.

Campos being awarded the shot is just as baffling, having only fought at the 118lb limit thrice in his career and the last time nine bouts ago.

WBA stays making no sense.

 

Very timid jabbing affair so far. Donaire speared a few straights on the body, that and some gnarly accidental headbutts were the closest we got to real excitement in the opener.
