    Round 1 Iwata 10-9
    Round 2 Iwata 10-9
    Round 3 Iwata 10-9
    Round 4 Iwata 10-9
    Round 5 Iwata 10-9
    Round 6 Iwata 10-9
    Round 7 Iwata 10-9
Round 8 Iwata wins by TKO?

Niyomtrong still trying to press the action, but is continually walking into counter hooks to the head. Iwata is constantly moving and boxing his ears off. Stopping to whip in nasty overhands here and there. Ref calls time, doc takes another look, and waves it.

Iwata was bit lucky he faced someone like Freshmart for the belt. I doubt he will keep the title for long.

It had to go one round longer than the Collazo match, didn't it? Arguably Niyomtrong was sturdy a division north of where he fought Collazo.

Ref calls it, not really that surprising given how bad the cut was.

One thing that always surprises me is how unbothered fighters are when someone touches their cuts. Adrenaline is a hell of a thing.
Meanwhile I cry when I squeeze a pimple.

I'm not big on Collazo but he's clearly a fair bit better than Iwata imo.

I think he will actually, as long as he doesn't have to face some cowardly wiry runner, he's a nightmare.

    WBC top 15
I think he might actually pull off a title defense or two this time.

Not really, had Iwata pressed the action instead of trying to show off his boxing skills, he could've stopped him a few rounds earlier.

I would favor Canizales and Badillo over him. I like Iwata, but I don't think he is the best at light flyweight.

This was for the light flyweight title, not the strawweight belt.

Canizales would trade with him, which could be his undoing. Badillo I'm not sure even gets past Vega.
