Yeah that's absurd. Linares is my boy and everything but...his name value (accumulated over his career, lifetime achievement style, not in the 'what have you done for me lately' sense that pervades in this sport) hovers somewhere above Oubaali's and well below Donaire's. Anybody with a shred of sense and objectivity knew this fight would be 50x as entertaining and interesting, and of no less 'significance' as relates to its respective division's current state.

I am amazed how well Oubaali recovered in the 4th. Dude gave it his all and hats off to him.
But like said above, Donaire is just on another level.
A 38 year old with such explosive power... just wow!

Donaire really does have that fire back. He looked done quite a few years ago.

 

To be fair, Nonito was fighting bigger dudes. Now that he's back in his ideal weight class, he's the biggest guy in the division and his power is showing again.

 

Donaire...what a warrior.

My respect to him keep growing. Especially now seeing his trainer and second is none other than her own wife. Wonderful couple.

 

I get the feeling that Rachel is the alpha outside of the ropes.
