North East of England boxing thread!

    Middlesbrough is not Yorkshire haha.

    Bradley has his pro debuet coming up soon, he should be one to watch out for, see how he adapts to the Professional side of it, last time i spoke to him he's properly pumped for his debut.

    I know Danny Phillips, Mo Waqas and Si Valilly quite well too, they're both good amateurs and if Danny get's his act together properly and reaches the Olympics, he could do well... Same with Si.

    Paul Truscott is my cousin, he's got a fight with Gary Buckland coming up in Sheffield on March 24th. It's gonna' be a tough fight for him but he's looking well in the gym and looking stronger at Super Feather

    Danny Price was down Birtley today sparring John Lewis Dickinson. I didn't see the action but I saw them both having a chat warming up, and I was sitting in the front part of the gym doing some academic work and not very long after I saw Price walking out with a bit of a shiner looking very down hearted. I'm guessing he got a pasting tbh, that's what my coach said as well. Price is meant to be fighting in Switzerland next.

    My trainer told me the kid was called Danny Price and said he's highly regarded and his fighting over in Switzerland next. Mind you looking at google images it may not be him.

    I think your talking about Danny Hughes who is fighting in Switzerland in the next couple of weeks against a former European title contender.

    Should make one. There's plenty of fans on here from the north east at the end of the day. There are amature shows to talk about too. Doesn't have to be all about world champs. :patsch

    I give him quite a good chance,looks really big now,dont resemble the little skinny lad that fought Simpson,put a bit of muscle on.
