Been on a Norton kick lately, just started getting into his style.
Need to sit and watch his Holmes and Ali bouts uninterrupted.
Im actually more familiar or have seen more full Biggs fights.
So both were superb boxers. I'd give the edge in jab and lateral
movement to Biggs, correct me if I'm wrong. Biggs fared better
against the biggest punchers despite still getting KOed. Tyrell
had a rough start to the first round against Bowe, then stuck his
jab out and legitimately troubled Bowe, perhaps if Tyrell had more
left in the tank he could have prevailed. VALIANT effort against Iron
Mike. Please no bs about his out of the ring problems. Both
on their best night. I do know Norton was perhaps one of the most
determined heavies, of course Eddie Futch was a genius.
So prime for prime 15 rounds.

    Biggs? Why?

Biggs went 30-10 (20) and was stopped 7 times. he went 0-1 in HW World Title Fights and never came close to getting another shot.

He did win his first 15 fights, 10 by KO, including wins over Tillis W8, Snipes W10, and Bey KO6. He really wasn't ready for a guy like Tyson, but a title shot doesn't come around everyday.

Tyson dominated him and stopped him in the 7th round.

Biggs went just 15-9 (10) after Tyson.

Biggs was a decent test for a young Bowe though. He gave Bowe some problems before being stopped in the 8th round. Lewis had no problems with Biggs though and stopped him in the 3rd round.

I don't see Norton having any problems with this guy.

Biggs was shot by the time he fought Bowe and Lewis though. He
won the first round against Tyson and showed a lot of grit, before
Mikey took his legs away. Biggs at his best was slickster with a great jab figured it would be an interesting chess match.

There was many that thought that Biggs would give Tyson a real good fight. Tyson wasn't that impressive in his previous fight against Tony Tucker and it was thought that Biggs with his jab, good movement and decent chin could give Tyson problems.Unfortunately he caught Tyson on one of his most ruthless moods. He was in better shape than he was against Tucker, had lost a few pounds and he even somehow looked even meaner even though he was clean shaven unlike his previous fights. After seeing what Biggs had got to offer in the first round, Tyson really did a number on Biggs, breaking him down both physically and mentally with his relentless speed and pressure, body punches and even the dirty elbows elbows and forearms. There was even suggestions that Tyson carried Biggs for several rounds to punish him more until Biggs was a broken man.

I thought it was was one Tyson's most impressive career performances though not many shared that opinion because how Biggs was really finished after that fight and never really came close to fullfilling his once promising potential.

Norton was much better and Briggs was not the puncher to freeze him up.

I think Norton wouldn't have much trouble taking Biggs out between the 5th and 8th. I think he'd walk Biggs down with his jab land good punches to the body and up top and eventually get close enough to land a big over hand right that would be the beginning of the end for Biggs.

I think he meant that Biggs came to fight and didn't fold like, uh, so many other Tyson opponents...

Norton all day long, and 2x on Sunday:yep

I don't see anything in Biggs who was soft, and just not a very tough guy for a pro heavyweight fighter, who lost every major bout he participated in:-(, lets be real Biggs was weaker than ****...

Biggs would probably have been better off using his athletic ability in a sport like tennis, or maybe baseball, anything that didn't involve physical contact, he was too wimpy....

Prime Norton in my opinion could have KTFO that guy whenever he wanted...

Ken Norton's style was all wrong for Tyrell Biggs. He regularly and convincingly did well against boxer type opponents who's skills and durability were well beyond that of Tyrell's. Norton breaks down Biggs for a stoppage sometime between mid to late rounds.

Tyson ironed, creased AND folded him.
