I feel the same way. I only watched it for the first time today, and the fact Heavyweights trade like that in the 15th round is ridiculous. Beautiful fight.
You never see a heavyweight fight like that anymore.Brings back some memories. Thanks for posting, man.
Thanks for the clip, Norton won the round, and it was a shame there was never a rematch:-(.. Great fight!!! makes the guy's of today that can't even go 12 without falling apart look like wimps
Damn, I'd almost forgot that that's the way HW boxing used to be. And in the 15th motherf*&king round!! Two ATG champs slugging it out. imo, I think Norton was the greater fighter (the Ali robberies undermined his resolve), but Holmes may be the most underrated champion ever. Just two classic fighters, no matter who you favor.
Goddamn, and to think that someone like James Toney could campaign at HW and be considered a threat. What the **** has happened to the American HW division?
The 15th round of Holmes vs Norton is no ordinary round, in fairness to today. Very rarely do big guys like that trade shots, landing flush, and keep on coming - let alone in the 15th round for Christ sake. Heavyweights suck nowadays, but not all rounds were like that back in the day, lets not kid ourselves.
Definitely one of the greatest rounds in HW history. Holmes and Norton laid it all out in that fight. Amazing to think of the BS heavyweight snoozers we have to put up with today. These guys can fight like that in the 15th freaking round and todays guys are gasping after 4. atsch
