    I remember watching this bout and thinking Jerry is shot which he was.He wasn't anything even close to the fighter who went toe to toe with Frazier who hit much harder then Norton did.
    Norton would not have beaten a Quarry at his best but it would have been a good fight.I can't believe people think Quarry was on his game for this fight-all you gotta do is look at Quarrys past bouts-he was done when he met Norton.

    Quarry took a beating in '75 against Norton...... STILL! Quarry was game and tried hard to win..... That right there is better than the current crop of assholes' competing in the division today....

    Yeah, Norton said he didn't lift weight at all during the 1970's, he just did calisthenic/plyometirc type exercises, and of course all the boxing training. But what a physical specimen he was. He took up weight lifting later in life, when he was in his late 40's - 50's and was reportedly quite massive at around 250-260 pounds.

    Norton was SIMPLY blessed with great genetics..... He was a stud........ He took a great photo....

    Quarry may have been game, but was shot in '75, like others have stated.
    Probably the start of his brain trauma situation. Two years earlier and
    Quarry stops Norton, like he did Shavers.
