You just know nothing about boxing. The only reason the fight was at catchweight is because Floyd was at 147, and marquez wasn't willing to move that far up. Guys moving down in weight don't demand catch weights. Guys moving up do. You're trying to make it sound like it's some sort of middle ground. It's not. Manny wouldn't fight Cotto at 147. So fought him at 144. Marquez wouldn't fight Mayweather at 147, so fought him at 144-146 Small guys demand catch weights. Not the guys coming down
I'd say it's mostly 1: He's pretty overrated (not that he's not good, but he's not top 5 all time) 2: His fans 3: His fans 4: The Media suck up to his fans, to make money 5: His fans 6: He's pretty overrated
I wish people would just accept that they don't like Floyd mayweather for the exact same reason people don't like Manny Pacquiao 1: His character doesn't mix with them very well 2: He's a big rival of the guy they like 3: He's in competition with the guy they like
His fans aren't really a reason to dislike him IMO. He can't help who likes him & it doesn't affect what he does in the ring.
Overrated? Explain. Did people overrate his skills in beating bigger fighters that Floyd ran away from?
Well, Pacquiao was in ring 146 with barrera and marquez in 2 of his last few fights before he met Ariza Didn't really hurt either with his power. Not at all. He was 147-148 in ring with De la Hoya, Cotto and Margarito and hospitalized all 3. No weight gain at all. Same power? Of course not. Add in the fact that he's walking out on bouts over drug testing, and I'd say it's pretty obvious. HGH is very hard to catch in even sports that take testing seriously. Boxing, 50% of the sport is probably on it
You're right, dude. How can you blame the guy for his fans which he has no control of. The TS is a plain hater.
Floyd's last 2 fights he's beaten guys Manny has refused to fight. Ran away from You're just making my point for me. Pacquiao beats Margarito and he's the greatest of all time. Mayweather beats Mosely, and it's nothing but excuses That's being overrated. Talking up soft wins
If I say "3 of Manny's weights are paper titles", I'm labelled a hater, and someone writes an article asking "how people can not like Manny Pacquiao"
