They were all in high profile fights taking their swings against elite competition so it is really not as bad as it seems.

I think it’s been a good few months for some. Dorticos and Ortiz got their big chances and, although they came up short, they gave it their absolute best attempt
got To give them all credit for taking difficult fights tho. Whether it’s the pay or just their ambition, they took big risks

I'm a little bit annoyed at the camera crew for showing Ortizs daughters reaction when her father got knocked down.

Yeah, that was kind of unnecessary.

Especially in the cruel world of the internet where there are same out there that would laugh at her and might even use her reaction as some sort of gif. Just inconsiderate.

To be fair he shouldn’t have brought her in that case, it’s common for the camera crew to show reaction of family members. I remember seeing Valeras mom crying not being able to look at the fight during Barrera vs Valera.

odds were pretty much the same for both fights. Rigo was dominated and quit, so that doesn't help. Ortiz at least was in the fight the whole way.

That fight only happened because knuckleheads made enough of a racket that Loma was ducking Rigo when Loma himself implied the same thing you did. My stance was that Loma should've been embarrassed to lose 4 rounds at any weight because he's that much better.

My issue is why did so many boxing people pick Rigo, and many others only backhandedly pick Loma (ie most said he'd win due to youth or size for, not for skill, styles, or ring IQ?). It was obvious that Rigo couldn't win since the fight was negotiated before at 126- Loma's far too dynamic for low volume counterpunchers. His style literally short circuits them.

The credit Loma gets from me is for surpassing expectations- I figured Rigo would at least land some flush counters and have more moments than he did given his usual ring generalship and experience. I didn't expect Loma to make him look that bad, that quickly.

I thought Loma would stop him in 1 round. The size difference was way too big and the age was a huge factor. Rigo already looked awful against some Filipino fighter 2 years back and since then did nothing.

Nothing new. They showed Cotto's wife and kid crying and leaving the arena in the Pacquiao fight.

They showed Mrs. Hatton and Ricky's mom balling when Floyd was teeing off on him.

They showed Jinkee crying when Pacquiao was iced.

    Etc., Etc.
