None of the top 25 heavyweights are currently scheduled.

There is no shortage of interesting matchups that could be made, but we've had only one this year so far (Joyce vs Zhang). What's wrong with boxing's managers and promoters?

A lot of heavyweights like Wallin and Hrgovic want to fight, but their weak promoters cannot arrange it. Others like Fury, Ruiz, Wilder and Joshua don't seem to want to be in meaningful fights anymore. The heavyweight division could be very popular, and make a lot of money, but the laziness of some boxers and their management is preventing it.

What do you mean, "come out of the closet"? Will he dress as a woman and fight Clarissa Shields? Not a fair fight, man vs woman.

There are only 3 HWs in the top 40 with fights lined up. Boxing is a joke sport atm.
Promotors carn't really be blamed for not making fights its the Fighters that have the final say and usually demand a lot bigger purses than they are worth as the all feel like they will be a voluntary for 1 of the big boys.

In fact there's only been a single world level HW fight this year so far (Joyce v Zhang).

Hard to count Joshua v whateverhisoppoentwascalled as world level.

HW boxing is as empty as Eddie's soul atm

It’s such a dull, boring division. Too much money = nobody needs to fight that often.
    HW boxing is eating itself.
My son used to love boxing, he isn’t really interested anymore. He watches more & more MMA.

It's a shame because while the current division isn't as packed with talent as, say, the 90s or 70s, there are still some really good fighters there, and each with quite distinct identities. The potential head-to-head great, if only he'd stop fighting gatekeepers and prove it; the potential hardest puncher in history; the jumped-up cruiser who's potentially just too good to lose, who twice beat: the fallen superstar who might yet ride the road to potential redemption, if he can sort his head out; the Great Wall of China, whose star is suddenly in the ascendancy at the age of 39; some European fellas with hard-to-spell names; David Price might decide to unretire even. etc. etc.

The 3 biggest fighters in the division commercially don’t want to fight anymore, they’re all fried mentally.

Did you tell him Usyk wasn’t in the vicinity any more.
