i dont understand why these guys dont fight more in the states.... aa is the only guy i respect because he actually came to the states and bodied miranda and actually attempted to talk english in the post fight interview

  2. You have a point in there somewhere.

For instance if a person wants to be a top Football player he has to come to Europe for the money and the best competition.

But somethimes Americans should come over..... For Example the Jones Jr V Dariusz Michelowski , Roy was never the top LHW in his era because he never beat the Man ( Dariusz) and took his stripped belts.

It's just like the Japanese fighters... They dont need to fight in the states because they can make just as much money in their country fighting weak competition..

yeah i dont see very many japanese fighters

but all the latin guys come to america
all the philipino guys come to america... the guy who fought last night (who looked real good before fight ended) & my guy who fought katsidas a while ago who got the brain hemmorage
all the african guys come to america...

the euro guys are the only ones who struggle wiht this concept

  6. Sorry but Dariusz was the man at LHW and held the belts, RJJr only got Dariusz's stripped belts

  7. Because they would rather fight in there own country and get respect from there own country men before the U.S public

The only people who European fighters in general are shown disrespect by are that (sizeable) minority of ignorant US fans who think that anything that doesn't happen in their back yard doesn't exist. These people simply don't know the sport exists outside of their own country and are the same with just about all overseas fighters. Personally, I give fighters their due based on what they do to earn it, not where they're from.

The Euro is worth more than the Dollar. Those countries you mentioned have horrible economies. Thats why they come to the US.

they get respect from the quality posters.

some of us have been talking about Dzinziruk on ESB way before Paul Williams was in the picture at 154.

It's a completely different situation. In football, a player is contracted to his club who are contracted to play in their national league. Therefore, if players from a lesser country want to play against the top guys, they HAVE to go and play in that league. Boxing isn't like that, fighters are not constrained by national leagues, they can fight anywhere they want.

The reason UK (and probably other European countries) fighters don't often fight in the United States is simple. The same reason American fighters don't often fight in England, Germany, Australia or wherever. Any fighter is going to prefer to fight in his home country in front of his home fans unless there is a very good reason otherwise. By which I mean a stack of money or the offer of a very big fight. Hatton fights over there a lot because he makes a shed load of cash out of it. Same with Lennox Lewis. For guys like Woods, Witter, Paul Ingle, those sorts of fighters that wouldn't be so. So other than the offer of a very big fight which they can't turn down (Lockett, Jennings etc,...) why would any UK fighter want to fight in the US over their home country and their own fans?

South Americans, Philippinos etc, Africans etc... are a different kettle of fish. They fight in the US for the simple reason that they can make far more money there than they ever could in their (by large) less wealthy home countries. Again, not the case with English, German, Danish, French etc... fighters.

Since when has America been the place to find the best fighters in the SMW or Flyweight for example and at the moment there is no HW scene in the states? That is a generalisation and oversimplification to far.
