Not American Posters: Honest ?. Why Do You Think Non US Fighters Get No Respect?

Generally speaking all the people in Europe think of themselves as their own countries nationality. Nobody thinks or refers to themselves as "European".

 

There are a lot of good, sensible, objective and well informed American posters in this community.

There are also a segment of Americans who don't follow the fight scene outside of the US. For example, many American boxing fans only saw Hamed in the run up to the Barrera fight, they don't seem to realize he had a decade long career before Barrera.

Its just tribalism really, and it doesn't just afflict American members, a lot of British posters are as biased and poorly informed as their US counterparts.

At the end of the day, if you dislike a fighter enough, or you happen to be somewhat insular and bigoted, you can find a way to discredit the achivements of virtually any boxer.

Sensible people, real men; will act like men and give credit where it is due.
