I was never too excited about this fight. Like Roach said "Pac wants to fight the best, and Hatton was already KTFO by Floyd so..." I have no beef with Pacquiao fighting a tuneup, but to me Hatton is somewhere between a tuneup and a mega-fight. If Hatton beats for example Timothy Bradley and Kendall Holt impressively, then I will be pumped as hell for Pac vs Hatton.
i hope hatton gives him a hiding now for the insult of even asking an elite fighter such as hatton to 60/40. i bet hatton is fuming.
yeah because being koed by the p4p number one a t a higher weight than pac fights at ruins everything. Pac has been beat alot more times than hatton that makes me think why is hatton fighting a guy that has been beat by tiny fighters and good but much smaller fighters such as morales.
1 embarassing loss doesn't ruin everything but it takes more than a big win over Malignaggi and a poor showing against Lazcano to put a guy back on top of the world imo.
Muppets like you are what makes this site shite most of the time, bet you have never even laced up mits before have you?
don't you think it's actually the other way around? hatton insulting pac, the best fighter in boxing by giving him just an equal share. it is pac who should be fuming. a borderline elite fighter telling a certified p4p elite and ATG of this sport to settle for an equal share. :-(
If it's true that Arum made a verbal agreement to a 50/50 split, then this current mess is his fault! Why would he open his yap and agree to that, even in conversation? True, Hatton is a big star, and an elite fighter at 140. But based on their recent acomplishments I think 60/40 for Pac is more than fair! This is definately the best fight out there for both guys... But I agree with the poster that said basically "getting KO'ed then struggling to beat Lazcano and beating the mediocre Mallinaggi dosn't put you on even terms with the P4P king". 50%? No way.
