Not enough recovery time for Manny

  1. This ain't 1943, chief. I'm NOT saying Pac CAN'T do it; I'm questioning whether it was the best idea TO do it so soon.

I think Roach wanted the fight in May to give pac a good rest and needed training to get ready for floyd.

Pac wants the march date so he can run for congress in the philippines. which I dont understand at all. He has the whole rest of his life to run the philippines, why doesn't he wait til he's done fighting. Even if he retires in five years (i think it'll be sooner), he'll be 36!!! I'm sure the philippines will still be there by then

The excuses are flowing way before the fight. Freddy Roach is Paquiao trainer and he is willing to fight in that date. It seems that you are already conditioning the terraing for the the excuse after Paquiao loses to Floyd. And dont came back with lame arguments. A lot of **** freddy Roach talk before the Cotto fight. First that Manny was in bad shape, that he dont want Manny to train in philipines etc. And all that proved wrong in the fight. Roach was conditioning the terrain exactly like you, for an excuse after the fight if his fighter loses to Cotto.. Why you dont tell that only 1 fight in 3 years is too low for a megafight for Floyd? Floyd wants a preparatory fight and everybody shouts fear. Then he accepted the agreement and now the time is too short for Paquiao. If the time was short and it could hurt Paquiao, Freddy Roach will not accept the fight. But he knows that the time is right for its guy and they accepted. No excuses please, no more excuses.

So what are you saying exactly? That 4 ****ing months isn't enough time to train yourself up for a fight? That Pac needs a couple more months than that to prepare for a fight? That would make it a total of 6 months from one fight to the next! So what you're saying is that a fighter should only fight twice in a year?! Unbe****inglievable!:patsch

man Jack, i hate to say it but if i had to choose honestly i really think Mayweather is just too big, and too good.

I know different fighters are different fighters, and different fights are different fights, but i cant help but think of JMM giving pac hell, and then add better defence, better ring generalship, more boxing IQ, add some speed, and a lot of size, and you get Mayweather, i just dont see how that = a Pac win if im being honest.

That being said m'man, I am rooting for Pac, i am not going to sit here and say im a ******* or anything, that is something true, hardcore pac fans deserve to call themselves, i am more an admirer of Pac that roots for him as opposed to a hardcore fan, but believe me i am rooting for him hard in this fight.

Just because i think Mayweather should win, doesnt mean that i dont think Pac CAN win, if hes greater then i think he is, then he will rise to this monumental occasion, and in dethroning mayweather, he will do what a great fighter like him would, and that is win when most thought he couldnt, and all logic says he shouldnt. I will be happy if he proves me wrong, its just if im honest, i dont see mayweather losing this one.

Amazing. Staying in shape ALL YEAR instead of taking 3-6 months off in between fights then killing themselves to make weight. Wish it was still like that today.

  10. I've read a lot of your posts and let's just say that I don't think you're very bright. It doesn't surprise me that what I'm saying is obviously over your head.

Totally agree, however I think Manny wants to run for congress now while his popularity is at an all time high. I guess he wants to give himself the best chance of winning and strike while the iron's hot.

    exactly!

manny is not just a boxer in the phils. aspiring politician, businessman, etc
apparently he just opened his own shops and bought a building or some **** like that

anyway, i'm more worried about him not having enough time to rehearse with his band for his 'after fight' concert in Mandalay

I say its fine, it'll be easier for the training camp and just need to focus more on the gameplan.
