I also think its a little too soon. I would have liked to see a stay-busy fight in March and then the big showdown in September after the elections. Its not an excuse as many people say, I was saying that before the march 13 date was announced.

Its just that i want both fighters to be at 100% on fight night. Those fighters who used to fight once or twice a month were often fighting at alot less than 100%. After a grueling training camp to prepare for Cotto and a ruptured ear drum I think its safe to say Pacquiao's body will need time to fully recuperate in order to be at 100% again.

**** off with the excuses already.

A declining Morales came off a brutal war with Barrera in nov 04 & went on to beat a fresh as **** Pacquiao in march 05.... 4 months is MORE than enough time, boxers just prefer to live the life of luxury these days... if a boxer fights 3 fkn times a year he`s classed as a warrior, its bull****, fighting twice a year has become the norm amongst elites these days, its ****.... 4 months is easily enough recovery time.

Dont kid yourself, both guys will be 100% & the best fighter of our generation - whoever that may be - will win.

    End of ! :good

Yeah, I know, its just an excuse for when Pac gets beat but everyone will know deep down that both were 100% & the better fighter will win.

Stop with the excuses already. If Roach says they'll be ready, then they'll be ready. If anything, it's Mayweather that's sweating bullets because of the rust from all his off time. Pacquiao has been in a constant fight state, period. So please, stop with the excuses. The man says he's good to go, who are you to whine and pine over it?

    Great post, mate.

I see what you're saying about bring a fan of Pacquiao - I love his fighting style and his attitude, but I'm not a huge fan. I do tend to want him to win though. He has an aura about him that I don't think has been seen since Tyson. He belongs with fighters like Dempsey, Duran, Tyson, as I said, and Foreman. An enigma. I don't want to see him lose his shine, you know?

That said, I think this is a good fight. Some days I'm all Mayweather and others Pacquiao. Part of the reason I can't go against Pacquiao, is because I have before - I thought Malignaggi would beat him years ago, I think before the Diaz fight. He has never stopped impressing me, so it's hard to go against him, regardless of opposition.

Just hope it's a good, close fight...preferrably with Mayweather getting brutally knocked out

It is enough time, but it does set up a little burn out, but Floyd probably wanted this. If Manny losses this cannot be an excuse. Excuses do not work well in boxing. He could have stood by fighting in May. Maybe he knew the fight would not be made. My guess is this is Mayweather's work -the March date, and if the fight does not happen on the date, the fight might not happen at all.

 Riiiiight. Unlike you, I actually know what I'm talking about when it comes to this sport and I can break down an entire fight in technical terms if you'd like me to prove it, but I'm guessing that would be over your head since it's obvious you don't know two shits about boxing.

Now quit avoiding my question and tell me why 4 months isn't enough recovery time? Sounds to me like you're just clutching at anything in order to downplay Manny's chances in this fight. Tell me I'm wrong!
