I think Floyd's activity level (or lack thereof) of late is a bigger factor here.

Lets see floyd took at least 6-7 months in between his fights against Judah, baldomir, DLH and hatton.............So USING YOUR LOGIC floyd is a **** for fighting only twice a year with 6-7 montths in between fights....UN****INGBELIEVABLE :patsch

 Another know-nothing casual fan. So what you're asking me is if Mayweather is a **** for dwindling away his prime and negating his fans the opportunity to see him fight more often all for the love of money? Well then yes, Floyd is a ****. Thanks for clearing that up. ;)

manny will be fine, only reason he can take the fight is because all of his fights were cake walks.i mean cotto was nothing more then a great sparring partner for cotto.i took a few good shots but nothing he could not handle at all.manny is in beat mode and he ate them sucka's up.

    dude,

Didn't you notice the date you posted fights were dated 50yrs ago.

The training then was less complicated. More simple. Training now takes about 8 to 10 weeks.

    Stupid comparison from the start.

Even the great Duran,SLR,Harger,Hearns, Holmes etc needed longer than two months rest before going back to training...

I felt the same way thinking another month might have been better with the ear drum thing and his hand but Manny himself has said that his hand is fine and his ear is no problem,he said he feels good....so thats good enough for me.

i thought PAC and or roach already came out saying there would be no problem recovering from the Cotto fight before the Mayweather fight so this thread is null and void

  9. Of COURSE they are going to say that.:nut Doesn't mean he couldn't use the extra rest.

you're missing my point. If the fighter and his trainer agree that it wont be a problem, there is no reason to make a thread about it being a problem. This is just handicapping the fight if it turns out that Pac were to lose, trying to make this into a built in excuse. Pac is a beast so he should be fine come fight time.

Yep. Who cares what we think? How are we somehow more qualified than the fighter and the trainer to make this decision? :huh
