When i say my boy i mean hatton...

I see it as this.... with his drinking, fattening up, and otherwise abusing his body in between fights, hes only going to get worse...

There are not a WHOLE lot of DEFINING fights out there for him that will up his legacy, the only real good fights i can see him in are

    torres
    malignaggi
    wittier (spelling?)

and though all would be real good wins... none real legacy builder types the kind hatton wants. hes gone 2-1 in his superfights.... and idiots are already calling him overated and exposed, i dont even want to see what happens if he gets dropped by torres or is in a tough fight with malignaggi... *cough*hint*cough*

in all seriousness though... maybe just retire and enjoy himself? hes set for life and is very well spoken and intelligant, sportscasting is def in his future if he wants it.

i don't think so kirk. there are far many fighters who are still active today that should retire but hatton is not one of them. pbf was just too big, too good, too fast and too talented for your boy, it doesn't mean he can't compete anymore at the weight he prefers.

I think he should move back down to 140 and try to establish a legacy at that weight. He would have tough fights, but if he were to beat Rees, Torres, Malignaggi, and Witter, he could he become a HOFer. Maybe wishful thinking on my part though...

dont fink he should retire,he just held his own with the best fighter of our generation until the 8th round.he has a decent case for a rematch but why would he do that.
there is a legacy available for him at junior ww,clean up down there and prove to everyone he should be a top 10p4p,just because you lose to the number 1 doesnt mean your exposed(well on here it apparantly does).

good, im glad. i want to see hatton continue and be succesful... im not worried about anyone at 140 right now for him accept wittier (i keep thinking im spelling his name wrong but oh well) seems to me the type that can hurt hatton, with his speed, power and timing... a judahish fighter.

id love to see him fight torres, that would be fun and i dont think torres can take hatton.

I think there are plenty of good fights for Hatton at 140, and the fact remains that wherever he goes in the UK he is a ****in golden hen. I don't really see a reason for him to retire... he should probably work on staying in better shape though, because it'd be shame to see his career wasted

Nah he shouldn't retire, But he really should stay in shape and not let himself go such much when he's not training because the older you get the harder it is to lose it, If he cant make 140 anymore he's in ALOT of trouble

He hasn't looked real sharp in a long time not since his victory over Tszyu. I suspect his lifestyle and abuse of his body has finally caught up with him and even his famous stamina that he displayed chillingly in the fight with Kostya is now gone.
I'm concerned that he may get hurt even if he fights back at 140 if he goes up against free swinging punchers like Torres. Basically if he gets starched again even at 140 I think it's time to call it a career especially with his block punches with face defense style.

He shouldnt retire, but for his own legacy wise 1 more loss other than to PBF he should hang em up.

Screw Zab. Hatton vs. Juan Diaz at 140 in a year. By then it will be a huge fight, and you KNOW that would be a FOTY candidate.
