He looked good counterpunching the first 2 rounds but then the african guy was really getting to him up until the cut that stopped the fight. I was expecting a lot more from him altough the fight was stopped early so maybe he could“ve done better in the later rounds.

yeah right... as if your fave boxers NEVER had an offnight:-(

if a boxer has 'flashy' skills you hype 'em up but when he loses or doesn't perform well against his opponent you call em overrated, letdown, et al.. what kind of fans are you?

have you ever considered that mthalane is very good defensively and would pose a bit of a problem stylistically for donaire.. the guy beat hussein hussein so you can't consider him a tomato can.. he ain't a pushover

God people here are getting dumber and dumber. youd think that Donaire lost. Lets just say that ring rust doesnt exist, that its a myth. Lets also say that Donaire faked his injury.

What I saw was a game opponent who had good skills.

sure Donaire lost rounds 4 and 5, so what? they were closed rounds. Then comes the six...did you guys notice that in the sixth round Donaire was establishing himself again? That before the stoppage, he was handily winning the round?

Much ado about nothing...the speed was there, same with the reflexes..the power certainly was...he'll be better next outing.
