not impressed with Jared Anderson

Even Wilder gets him outta there round 1st this point

 

Dude can take a punch and give a mean one. Its clear he's ready for anyone inside the top 5-10.

 

He's gonna get brutally knocked out. Those shots were FLUSH flush. Forrest almost could not miss his chin when they swapped hands

Unless Anderson has a iron chin he's not beating anyone in the top 10.

He does seem to have very thudding power and loves to just mow people down so he's fun to watch i guess

 

Why not? He quickly finished the experienced Forrest who has good fights behind him, Anderson is still young and in the development phase, he will be great in the future...

 

Jared Anderson is good. I think he beats AJ and Wilder.

 

I'm going to watch the fight before I comment on the stoppage or Anderson. If it was legit KO 2 vs Forrest is a great performance.

 

I think any big puncher can KO him if they landed first.

His defence is trash and he knows it.

 

After watching it, I don't think he's world class at this point. He doesn't even see the punches coming, he really needs to improve his defense. The stoppage was early, but those are the kinds of fights that lead to people dying or becoming disabled, so I don't blame the referee too much.

It seems like he has a chin, but you have to remember that Forrest is 6'1 at best and can't punch at all compared to any world level heavyweight, not even Pulev. If a full sized world class heavyweight catches him like that, besides Pulev, it'll be goodnight. He really needs to work on punch awareness.

 

He needs to learn how to fight off the backfoot and improve his defense. Keeps his head on centre line too much.

 

I wouldn't rate his defense at this point. It was a brawling fight, not a boxing fight, but it was very entertaining. Jared tends to be sloppy in the first round and should fix it. But it will be interesting to see his next step-up which goes for some rounds more

 

Jared has all the intangibles, he's a proper dog.

But still lacks the skills and he isn't a massive HW, no matter how good that chin is you cannot let the killers at HW land on you.

Anderson has one goal and that is to improve...he is 23. He will only falter if he fails to improve and but that happens to many many boxers.

 

He's in love with his power and stack imo.

 

His is one of the best prospects in heavyweight boxing, and got Forest out if there quick, but he needs work on defense.

 

He would not be American by chance? Yes he has a future. A big time planed future.
