Either way, both are conditions of limited freedoms and liberal observation by the legal system due to prior criminal activity/conviction while not actively serving time in physical prison. What's interesting is that you can server time in prison, be evaluated for early release and put on parole and then after finishing the parole you might still have to serve out your sentence on probation if one was ordered (which can also be shortened or prolonged based on behavior).
He hasn't finished serving his time until his parole is up. Him carrying a gun is more likely to end up with him being shot than just cooperating with the robber(s) (If he's being robbed and reaches for a gun, they're going to shoot him). After being robbed at gun point, the better decision would have been to get himself out of that environment (he was still training in a very bad area), as opposed to buying a gun. I feel for him because he had a future and was good for the sport; but he knew he wasn't allowed to own a gun so should have looked for alternate (legal) methods of protection.
But Boom, you're the one who ****ed up the difference between probabtion and parole. Point out where I was factually incorrect.
Don't get upset because everyone doesn't want to respond to you. I'm glad you can look up definitions online.
You are right about the benefits and security a gun can bring; but the bottom line is he purchased a gun, which he knew he was not allowed to do. If he didn't feel safe, he should have removed himself from that environment or got a bodyguard. He had too much to lose and did it in one of the worst states for a felon to commit a crime. I do hope that they show some leniancy and give him a reduced sentence; but at the same time, it was a dumb decision on his part. I just don't think his mistake is worth 5 years - 20 month's sounds fair (considering the circumstance).
You're embarrassing yourself. Stick to ******* posts, at least your stupidity doesn't make you stand out as much.
Awwww poor baby. Let me get this str8... young man screws up, makes mistake, and does time. Then comes out of jail, dedicates himself to god given talent, and succeeds to the point where he is being groomed as an HBO fighter. The stupid jackass goes and buys a gun knowing that doing so consists of committing a felony. Awww he got robbed at gunpoint? WTF is he doing anywhere where that has a chance of happening. Stupid ass thug! To ignorant to leave that life behind... I hope you rot in jail jackass. Guys like him are a disgrace to the sport.
I'm not upset that you're not responding to me. I'm getting a good laugh from you two arguing like a couple of girls. And I'm sure not having a gun worked out pretty good for them the rest of the years that there was no violence... who knows who else or how many would have died over the years had they all been packing.
He shouldn't have bought the guns - I agree with you there. But you can get robbed anywhere. Some old friends of mine said they would rob the rich areas because there is more money there. BTW he was robbed leaving his gym after a workout.
I've never been robbed at gunpoint, and my city has the highest crime rate in the state per capita! Would you like to know how I accomplished this amazing feat. I don't associate with criminals, and thugs, and I stay away from those neighborhoods. WOW what a brainstorm. does putting him away for 4-5 do anyone any good? Yup... for 4-5 years it keeps a violent criminal off the streets. To bad it's not 40-50 yrs.
After several appearances on HBO I am sure he had the means to move to a better area, and set up his own camp. Yes you can get robbed anywhere, but the chances of it happening go up dramatically in the kind of environment he decided to remain in. Makes him all the more stupid.
