In the last 15 years not many American fighters can win many big fights away, Cunningham is a rarity but failed first time round, and T Bradley beat a shot Witter but lets look at some of the recent fails starting with last night.
Dawson hyped to the hill lost to Pascal
Lacy hyped to the hill lost to Calzaghe
Dirrell hyped to the hill lost to Froch
    Taylor lost to A Abraham
Jones picked to beat Green lost away
Brewer and Mitchell lost their world SMW titles away
G Johnson based in America lost most times he had big fights in Europe (oh they were robberies. No they werent, hes not that good)

There is a bad trend in American fighters. They should get some tough European training to help build them for on the road fights

Michalczewski in his prime had the number of away fighting Americans
V Hill as an example. We now know why Jones didnt take the chance against him

I cant take this thread seriously especially since you are too quick to discredit the times when the few Americans who did fight abroad with success.

I see you are just trying to get a response here it is. It's true that the american fighter have fell off of being the top fighters in the world. Even with the number of boxing gyms all over the united states reducing we still are able to hold a title or two. We still hold the best trainers in the world because it seems that most of the good fighters from around the world that want to become great still seems to come to the United states to be trained.

I can't take this thread seriously, because I know the TS doesn't know that there is a difference between U.S. fighters and American fighters.

Why did Hatton fight in the states? because that is where the biggest fights are held, why should US fighters move away from the biggest arena?

Also, I don't understand why you throw in Taylor losing to King Arthur and Jones Jr. losing to Green, when you say "T Bradley beat a shot Witter" I think Taylor and Jones Jr. fall into that same catergory of being shot. Sounds to me that you are just trying to twist and turn and make a point of something.

Couldn't we make the same thread about Europeans (since you did say Americans)

    Kessler lost to Ward
    Hatton lost to Mayweather
    Abraham lost to Dirrell
    Klitschko lost to Brewster
    Kotelnik lost to Alexander

and on and on. The point is. Some people win on the road, some people lose. That's just the way it goes no matter where you come from.

Who have I discredited? I called Cunningham a rarity but mentioned he failed first time round, whats untrue? Nothing, and nothing said to discredit

even with boxing gyms closing you probably still have more than treble the amount of the next closest country.

Kessler lost to Ward by illegal headbutts
Hatton lost to Maywheather fighting above his favoured weight to give Maywheather the advantage
Abraham lost to Dirrell by DQ 50/50 affair as Dirrell was doing his often clapse to the floor which Froch talked of
Klitschko lost to Brewster in and odd state but avenged in style
Kotelnik lost to Alexander in what most posts on here call a robbery

    Still

    Froch beat Taylor
Calzaghe beat Hopkins at a weight he hadnt fought at before
    Calzaghe beat Jones
Hatton beat Collazo above his normal weight
    Pirog beat Jacobs
L Lewis won away most times
    Kessler beat Mundine in Australia
    Reid won away in Italy
    Kessler in Germany
    The list goes on

lol. And I could make excuses for the fights you made in your OP.
Dawson lost to a fellow American, and it was a close fight and who knows what would have happened in the last 2 rounds.
Dirrell-Froch was close most people thought Dirrell won

Then, I can make excuses for all the fights you mentioned. Taylor was shot, Hopkins was shot, RJJ was shot, Collazo-Hatton was close, etc. etc.

It is really a pointless argument and you are grasping at straws. Like I say, it doesn't matter where you, where are are from, sometimes you win on the road, sometimes you lose, but yet again I don't think you will understand.

Cos a warrior fights anywhere, and doesn't have a problem being taken out of his comfort zone. Many US fighters will not even entertain the idea of fighting abroad. If you are a fighter you should fight anywhere and it shows what you are made of fighting in your opponant's backyard.

The best will fight anyone, anywhere!

Bailey, in another thread a few days back you discredited Tarver as pretty much just a lucky fighter in the right place at the right time that had done nothing but beat Jones, when it helped your Erdei argument. Keeping that in mind, just how impressive was it for Hopkins to beat him, or Jones go the distance?

And yes Roy was shot, when he fought Calzaghe he had not won a fight of note in 5 years, and still hasn't to this day. Shot to **** Lacy and Sheika, who were never very good in the first place are not meaningful wins either.

And just what had Anthony Hanshaw done to become a contender at LHW? He is a bum, Direll starched him in his very next fight and Roy Jones struggled with him almost the whole fight. Not an impressive victory.

Shot to **** Trinidad, who was 4 weight classes above his prime weight? Had not fought in three years, still won the first 3 rounds against Roy. Not impressed with Roy there at all.

Roy even looks like an old man. I can't believe you would question him being shot.
