Yet its not officialy announcment but Klitschko will change his coach. Virgil Hunter will be his new coach. I do like Banks, and think he will be one of the best coaches in the nearly future, but with Klitschko is not working. With Klitschko he is not in charge and thats need to be change. Trainer should be in charge and boxer should listen. Yes age is huge factor, but the main thing is Klitschko start to decline, exactly when Many dies and Banks took charge. I dont think Banks is in charge of Klitschko its otherwise. And you need to listen to your coach and your coach need to be the boss and in charge. While with Banks, Klitschko once said usually the coach say to boxer what to do, but with him(Klitschko) he said to coach what to do .... Banks just giving him the direction. In that way trainer not get respect and you wont listen him. Exactly what happen.
I think Banks has played a big role in Wlads decline..... Father time deserves some credit, but Banks Wlad is worse in every way compared to the guy ES perfected.
It could be risky, but Klitschko need to change his game a bit. With Banks gameplan was all wrong. And im not talking only Fury fight. Banks could not get the respect of Klitschko. He is simply not in charge. And he cant motivate him. While for Steward Klitschko was ready to die, with Banks is like he is coach of his own. I do think for this match with Fury Abel Sanchez would be the perfect trainer, but he probably choice Hunter because of the style. UnleashtheFURY you are 100% right. As i said before there was article where Klitschko said he told the coach what to do, and as if he training himself .... Banks is simply not in charge. This is the worst thing that could happen to a fighter. And look at Wladimir jab after he start with working with Banks. Its not use it properly, for god sake he not throw it properly. Yeah age is factor in decline, but changing coach for sure. I watch all of his fights and Klitschko was fast as hell, now he is probably 50% slower. And that is from Pulev, Jennings and Fury fight. Klitschko punches was like rocket, was fast, explosive, now its simply not fast enough. In the Wach fight you could not see his punches, they was so fast. And im not talking about his opponent, but about Wlad ability. He is past it big time, hes prime was 2006-2012, but i do think he could beat if not all most of the HW. He just need motivation and something new to the game, and coach who is in charge. Im sure Klitschko can beat Fury as well.
He needs someone who can inspire him mentally, that's his problem right now. Jonathan Banks is not that guy, I actually think getting someone like Atlas may not be such a bad idea.
Wlad needs someone that will release his skills locked away in his mental block like cage. He needs Tim Lane
To be fair to Banks - Wlad ignored ALL of his advice in the corner. "Work the body", "Rights to the body" etc. etc. Wlad choked, and Fury might as well have been singing "pants on the ground, looking like a fool with your pants on the ground". Wlad was so confused he couldn't hear his trainer. His mind was in turmoil
