6 foot Chambers was absolutely knackered from Wlad humping his back all night long.

He wouldn't take the risk against 75' reach Chambers no matter what Manny said to him.

Manny got equally animated over Chambers as he did for Mike Tyson with Lewis.. It really says it all about Wlad and about levels .

Like a race horse, Wlad needs someone to crack him with the whip occasionally.

A quiet guy who was an assistant to Steward for 40 years, and a journeyman fighter who couldn't carry your jock, aren't going to light a fire under you if you're sitting on top.

My god I'm so sick of the excuses. Look Wlad fights scared and he has fought scared since his loss to Brewster. Fury knew what he was doing. Wlad can't handle fighters that moves around the ring as we seen in his last 2 fights. Wlad is a very limited fighter because he is scared to get hit. Wlad knows he has a weak chin and skin. Wlad has always been over rated. Fury will kick his ass worse when they fight again. Fury does not have the punching power Wlad has but he is more skilled.

 

Go to hell you nuthuggers. You Wlad fans were calling for Wlad to fire Steward after Brewster kicked his ass. I'm glad Wlad's cheating ass lost to Fury.

 

Come on, when has Wlad ever thrown to the body

A coach needs to recognize a fighters strengths and weaknesses, telling Wlad to suddenly work the body when he's hardly ever punched anyone to the body ever, is terrible advice. You can't suddenly reinvent the wheel in the middle of a fight.

He should have told wlad that his jab, a jab that's been in decline for years, wasn't working for him and that it's possible to throw punches without setting it up with the jab. I really doubt anything he said would have changed the outcome of the fight either way though. The greatness of a coach isn't measured upon how many fireman stories they tell their fighters in the ring, but what they actually teach them and prepare them for leading up to the fight.

After the fight Wlad was asked what their gameplan was before the fight, he answered: To box :rofl:rofl:rofl atsch

They had no actual gameplan, much less secondary gameplans if things went south. Wladimir has been surrounded by a bunch of yes men for years. It's too late now though, he can change to whatever trainer he likes, he won't beat Fury in a rematch. Simply not enough time nor oppurtunity to perfect new dimensions to his game against actual opponents in the ring before the rematch. And Virgil Hunter is certainly not the man he needs to defeat Fury.

He had every advantage leading up to the first fight against Fury yet he lost, now he's the guy who has to take away the belts from Fury (If there's any left by the time they fight). I don't see him succeding at that.

 

Dumb move.

 

Teddy Atlas or Vitali. Either one is capable of smacking Wlad if he doesn't do what he is told. And that's what he needs...someone to kick his butt and not be afraid to do it.

 

Look at it the other way. Which boxer is saying ... "You know who I need for a trainer? Jonathon Banks."

Wlad chose Steward. Steward brought these two underlings with him. Now Wlad is left with the B-Team.

Tyson Fury fought a smart fight. I was thrilled when he won. I hope he wins the rematch, too.

But I'm not a blind fanatic. Wlad Klitschko wasn't listening or taking orders from any of those guys. He was his own trainer. It all collapsed.

If he's going to fight one more time, he should give himself the best chance to win. And it's not going back to the B-team who just come in and go through the motions with him.

Not many. They signed on with Roach, not Marvin. Even though Marvin does a lot of the day-to-day.

Also, Vittles is a mayor. And to be honest, I don't see Vitali being that much of a boxing trainer to be honest.

 

Wlad can change as many coaches as he want , but he can't change his age. He's 40 and that's his problem.

 

Wlad in his prime would have outboxed fury with or even without any trainer, he's just old , why do people think that has something to do with game plan or coach?

 

Surviving a 5 round onslaught and making someone gas out isn't kicking someone's ass.

 

You're right about his age, that is a major factor. That being said, if Manny was still alive I think Wlad would have beaten Fury
