Meldrick was two seconds away from a UD but the ref was Richard Steele. what do you expect, a fair outcome?

and Pernell was almost as far ahead as Meldrick but due to protective judges, Julio got himself another break. the fix was in but even so, couldnt hide the fact he was totally clueless in there against Pernell

so he was arrested for drugs in 81. you see anyone beat him in that time?

Zarate is just too slow for Jeff. What's more Jeff would outfight him on the inside and pick him apart

Zarate is so overrated. The American fighters are better

and wasnt that Carlos in there with pintor? They said he was robbed but the fact is, he deserved to lose. He went flat going into the 12th and Lupe took over the fight so in reality, Pintor deserved the win

Youtube or any other filming of either 1 of ze 2 Ramirez vs Whitaker fights show you wrong. I suppose that you forgot about these fights since watching them last time and bought into the consensual lie.

Whitaker never won against either Chavez or Ramirez. A combination of an undeserved rematch with Ramirez, undeserved decision in his favor in his 2nd fight aagainst Ramirez and a dive by Juan Nazario whom was an undeserving titlist in his own lack of right made Whitaker a unified alphabet titlist @ 135.

Whitaker had a frustrating style to try to fight against and even more frustrating to watch, but nothing more.

When did you watch his 3 fights against Chavez and Ramirez ze last time?

I watched the first fight live on network TV. The consensus was Whitaker was robbed. He won the rematch easily on points. He beat Chavez as well pretty comfortably. Ramirez and Chavez were "House" WBC fighters.

I am not of the opinion that you can generalize that American fighters are better than Mexican/Latin American fighters but in Whitaker's case, he was screwed twice by the WBC.

I want some of the stuff you're obviously smoking. Firstly, Ramirez got the rematch with Pernell not the other way around. Pernell had won the IBF title over Greg Haughen and made a defense of that title against Ramirez. He wanted the rematch to get revenge for what he and most others thought was a dubious decision in the first fight. Ramirez should have given Pernell a rematch after the first fight, but smartly did not risk it. Why would he - he was lucky he won the first fight. Ramirez ended up losing the WBC title to J.C. Chavez in a big money fight.

Pernell smartly made sure the rematch was in Norfolk, just in case it was a close fight - which it did not turn out to be. The closest card in the second fight was Whitaker by 6 points. The first Ramirez fight and the Chavez fight were fairly close and some people thought Pernell lost those fights. But, honestly, you are the first person I have ever heard say Ramirez won the second Whitaker fight. I guess you give points based soley on aggression regardless of punches landed.

Nazario took a dive? Nazario was fairly mediocre. Whitaker didn't need for him to take a dive. Are you telling me that if the Nazario fight had gone the full 12 rounds, Whitaker could not have outboxed him?

Who cares when I last watched the Ramirez and Chavez fights. I watched them at the time, live. If you take 100 objective people, I 'd say about 90 would say Whitaker won all three of said fights. You're clearly in the minority but hey, everyone deserves an opinion.

So you forgot everything about this fight and probably was busier with your beer, popcorn and junk food rather than that masterpiece of boredom Pernell induced.
It would have been fine if you did not pretend to remember this fight and did not argue as if you have any memory about it.
He did not beat Chavez more than Chavez beat him either.
Whitaker was the "house" TV networks fighters and closer to the bigger promoters.

And what did Whitaker land on Ramirez in their 2nd fight?
A few pity pats that probably hurt his hands more than Ramirez' head.
Good that you enforced my claim that Whitaker was the "house" fighter vs Ramirez, in their rematch even more so.

Nazario was less than mediocre but was not bad enough to lose to someone like Whitaker the way he did.
    It was a dive.

Also your "witnesses" to Whitaker's "fights" against Ramirez and his fight vs Chavez either forgot about it since they watched it fully (only once if ever) or never did but take someone's words for it.
I forced myself to watch that 5h!t entirely and it was bad and Whitaker never won any 1 of these 3 fights.
