he did what most refs would have done ther was a lot of pressure and the 2nd official should have pointed out to him that the jap fell out of the ring and was trying to get up,
3 judges 2nd official and not one helped the ref b4 he made the countand desicion , could have been an interesting fight

No way, it was the refs fault, if he needs a second person to tell what just happened in front of his own eyes he should never have been a referee in the first place.
Most ref have dqued fighters in similar circumstances...RJJ V Montel 1 ?

    Not the Ref's fault,
Do yourself a favour on Thursday night and flick over to FOX 8 and watch reruns of The Simpsons.
You'd probably have an easier time understanding that!!!!!!!!!

It's the refs job to protect the fighters, especially so when any fouls occur.

The Japanese fighter was badly screwed here.

Have just had another look at the footage on the other thread. The ref is approaching the pair as the last blow is struck and he couldn't possibly be on a better angle to see what actually took place....the KO result for Dib still surprises me!

The ref was a f'ing disgrace and incompotent :deal
If he didn't see the punch by dibb when the jap was on the ground then he shouldn't be there, not to mention at the very least he should of given him up to 5 mins rest.
But no les decides the best course of action is to rule dibb the winner by ko fuk me:patsch
It was bad enough ref'ing in the Withers fight but the main event took the cake.

    Hard to disagree mate.

Withers appeared to deliver two elbows in the one flurry. Could not have been more intentional IMO. But wasn't sure where the ref was located as that one happened.

But for the Dib one he was right there on the spot and seems to have chosen to ignore it happened.

(not saying I could ref better than this guy incidentally, only that he appears to have had a horror night).

I'll give Les a pass on the Withers fight because from the angle I saw him at, he couldn't have been in a worse place.
