Not sold on Joshua

yes...i have to give it to you that he looks more like a bruno than a lewis.....but, whats wrong with that ??....bruno had a great career and joshua i am sure would happily take a repeat of what bruno did, or he should.
comparing him to lewis is setting the bar very high for him......he'll do well...maybe not as well as lewis but he'll do well

 

He looks very stiff, maybe too much muscle. It's too early to say yet.

 

Reckon the state of the heavyweight division, he can go all the way..
Very good technique has all the right attributes, but we will see...

Yes fair comparison to Bruno in style hopefully he has a jab as good as Franks which was underated.

Certainly can't see him being anywhere near to Lewis in ability but no shame in that.
Anyway won't need to be open season soon in the HW division.

 

Even if he does have a career similar to Bruno rather than Lewis that's a great achievement, Bruno won a world title. No one should be expecting joshua to equal Lennox's achievements at this point, that's essentially sayin we expect him to be a top 5 ATG heavyweight. To predict or expect that at this point in time is insane.

 

By the time Joshua is ready for a title fight klitschko will be long gone and i don't see anyone about or coming through that is capable of holding onto a belt for any length of time. Therefore he won't need to be anywhere near as good as Lewis. Put Bruno in with anyone around now bar Klit and i'd fancy his chances. Joshua has had very little amateur experience compared to others, which may work to his advantage so he needs to be given time and a lot of it.

 

If Bruno were around today he'd do some damage. Would fancy him against most.

 

I'd like to see him use a little more variety (head movement, feints, body shots, uppercuts etc). It's all straight shots from him at the moment, which are doing the job due to his power, but that will soon change when he faces better comp.

 

technique pretty good from what I have seen. Needs better quality opponents in next 3 fights. So we can see more of his skills

 

To be fair to Joshua Darch had gone six rounds with Hughie Fury and to stop him so quickly was a decent night's work. There is still lots to work on though.

I'd like to see him in with a top 50 opponent sooner rather than later.

He does look stiff in thier not very fluid but he can go all the way with the state of the HW scene, someone said he is like Bruno good shout, ask yourself if Frank was around today or when the Klitschko's are gone who would beat him? Joshua most of all needs a quality jab he can't fall into the David Price trap of neglecting it, Joshua has decent power and the physical attributes to do well. He will never be a Lewis but i mean how many have been Lennox is top 5 HW ever thats one high bar to set for Joshua my guess will be he wins a world title and makes a few defenses but he will never be a dominant champion like Wladimir is now.

Fans (and boxnation) are going overboard comparing him to Lennox. There's no point telling how far he will go, but you can be almost 100% sure he won't reach the height LL has.
Let's see how his career progresses, and wait until he starts to fight near domestic top level before even making conservative predictions.
