Viktor ain't about that life. He'll be camping out in Ukraine for the foreseeable future going life and death with domestic novices.
He’s had some good wins that was better than the TD over Salido. Broner was a very good win against a 4 time world champion and multi division champion like himself. I admit he doesn’t have any p4p ranked opponents or many future hall of fame guys on his resume but he’s been positioned well moving up in weight and winning titles in each divison he’s fought in.
I don’t think he’s moving back down to 135. I think he’s looking at 147 so he most likely will stay at 140 and force Linares it Loma to move up or he’ll fight his mandatory and then look at welterweight
danny garcia is his best option for what i think he is trying to do. beating garcia would legitimize him at 147 and open up fights with all the top moneymakers at welter. i think he outpoints garcia and porter, but porter will put some wear on him. his biggest fight at welter, that is winnable, would be against crawford, he has a good chance vs thurman also, but that one wont sell like crawford will. he shouldnt even consider a fight with spence.
Who is saying otherwise? Either one of those fights don't do jack **** for his legacy other than telling us what we already know. At 30 Mikey may only have 2-3 peak years in him at best, if he's blessed with longevity like very few fighters are maybe 4-5 but you cant bank on that and waste your prime like he's doing. It seems he's about easy money insteading of investing for bigger money. I know he's not afraid of fighters, most fighters are foreign to fear, but it sure seems he likes that long but easy road to financial wealth.
I don't usually give much credit for wins over shot overhyped fighters. Also capturing a title is nice but doesn't say very much these days since we know its very easy to do, its WHO you beat, so the question for Mikey is just that.
Fair enough. I tend to still give credit for winning a world title even though it is much easier these days. But still....less than 1% of boxers ever win a world title. So it’s not exactly an easy feat
I wouldn't even go anywhere near Thurman, Porter and Spence. Garcia will be battered and bruised in those fights, they are too aggressive, especially Porter. Garcia is a really good boxer, but he isn't a natural welter. He looked a little flabby against Lipinets, at welter he just won't be his normal self, especially when under pressure. Spence is too big for him, Thurman and Porter too aggressive. I agree though, the lesser punchers like Crawford and Danny Garcia, and then the likes of Khan, and maybe Horn are good fights for him.
