    But that was literally the worst officiating I've ever witnessed personally. I was for Mares, I picked Mares, but WTF was the referee doing. Early in the fight I believe it was positioning, as the fight went on I just don't know, Mares had to land at least 25 low blows, minimum 25, maybe more. Absolutely mind blowing, Im sad for Joesph, that was pathetic.

    That was utterly despicable. Mora got paid off, plain and simple.

    Agreed.

    I found myself hoping Agbeko would find a way to win, despite having gone into the fight rooting for Mares.

    I don't necessarily disagree it's not a beauty pageant, I don't completely fault Mares, I'm just blown away that this was allowed. The "KD" was the worst because that tipped the fight and Allowed Mares to run and hold the rest of the way in. And Mora was right there looking at it, you know when Berstein is trippin out about it, it's ****ing bad.

    I'm with you 100% Rep. I feel horrible for Agbeko right now. It's also a shame because aside from the constant low blows, I have no problem at all with Mares and think he usually puts on a hell of a show.

    While it's of no solace and doesn't fix anything, my respect for Agbeko's gone from good to through the roof. He took about 20-30 low blows, refused to give up, got up from a monster shot to the nuts within the 10 count, and was still outboxing Mares. And he refused to retaliate, even though it was more than warranted.

    I hope the justifiable outrage about the low blows doesn't overshadow how gutsy Agbeko was tonight in fighting through them.

    Yeah and that was the point Tarver made that I thought was insightful, Mora stole this fight and moment from BOTH guys, his incompetence is the story not the performance of the guys who fought their hearts out.

    Exactly. This fight's not going to be remembered for each guy fighting with everything they had and putting on an excellent show for the fans, which they did. And that's the real robbery.

    Maybe Mares would've won cleanly- unfortunately, there's no way to know because Abner wasn't forced to fight the same fight King Kong was. But this was still a damn good fight even with the low blows. Imagine what we could've had if a competent ref had nixed them by penalizing Mares in the 2nd.

    That shot also threw Agbeko off of his rhythm. I thought that he was doing well in that round and had been coming on late in the fight. He had his title stolen from him right in that instant.
