    Usyk would've unquestionably have stopped Hunter had he went loco on his ribs a little earlier. Hell, a lot of refs would've waved that off in the 12th when Usyk went to town on his ass and had him in desperate trouble. If Usyk actually uses his feet, his considerable skills, boxing ability and defensive prowess and moves around the ring against HW Hunter, which is something he completely abandoned in numerous recent fights of his, he'll make it a lot easier for himself.

    @CST80 I would give you credit for picking Ruiz to upset Joshua but I'm sure you pick all of Joshuas opponents to beat him lol.

    nobody is going to throw him in with the greats just yet, but hes made history, and he did it legit. its just a cool story. arreola is probably on suicide watch as he watches andy take the life he wanted.

    With respect, the HW division has been awful for a while now. The fact that a fatty with skills just deposed the best HW champion out there is testament to that. The fact that a nutcase off-the-fat-farm Tyson Fury gave the other best HW champion a 12 round boxing lesson is further testament to that.

    The HW division right now is old guys, fat guys and bodybuilders.

    You know..I said there was something in the air yesterday in the official fight thread, and I was right. AJ didn't take Ruiz seriously. I could see it at the weigh in. He was all fun, all laughs. There was no serious face. I knew he was underestimating Ruiz. He was talking about Fury, talking about Wilder and he took his eye off the ball.

    Ruiz is not a better fighter, but he is mentally stronger and that's what showed. I haven't watched it yet, but it comes as no surprise. No-one should be looking past their opponent like AJ showed he was doing at the presser and weigh in. Embarrassing and a lack of respect. AJ should know better.

    US ref let the US fighter survive to the final bell but I'm not sure a non-US ref would've and if Usyk had a home ref he'd have another win via stoppage on his record IMO.
