I had it Eubank 7 rounds to 5.
You don't win a fight by holding out your hand and gently touching your opponents face and calling it a Jab.
Eubank was making the fight happen.
Groves looked like Hughie Fury in there.
Groves should have received a 10 count in the 12th as well. The ropes kept him up.
Groves should have has multiple points taken off for holding and headlocking JR

Looks like there's a chance that Groves won't be able to compete in the final so hopefully Young Christopher can still get his hands on that Ali Trophy.

No, I didn't drenlou, the fight literally went EXACTLY how I said it would, no luck involved on this one. Go check all the Groves-Eubank threads that back me up.

This. Just glad Groves finally delivered, since his career would've pretty much been done if he took a loss to Eubank jr.

    Wow.....

    Subjective much???

    Pac over May = DKSAB:applaudit::applaudit::applaudit:

    Hamed v Barrera????

4 ATGS and fans who believe one style<another DKSAB??!

Well ain't you just a fukkin boxing genius.

    Styles make fights.

And while PAC was shopworn, borderline shot, prime v prime, the middling SFW turned tiny WW would be a solid favorite in most opinions.
Naseems style was more unorthodox, yet quite similar to RGonzos. When he fought Barrera, his style did not Intimidate him.

Now....let's talk about a couple A/B level titlist type fighters who offered differing styles that brought them to this tournament.

Groves been boxing for 20 yrs.
    CEJ, 5/6 maybe.
GG was always the better boxer but could be lured into a brawl.

CEJ, far less seasoned, had youth, speed and chin but lacking in experience, adaptability, and size at the weight.

Fact is that GG was the best he's been in this fight. He never got into the brawl that CEJ needed for him to get the chance to KHTFO.

CEJ is still a top level MW/SMW. But as CST and others point out, he was outboxed.
DeGale could do it as well. But his chin would be shattered, as would a far superior boxer in Dre Dirrel.

I didn't think Groves had the maturity to win this fight. If he fought with his head like that he would have beat Froch the first time.

I was pretty vocal on it but was more surprised than anything else. I'm now wondering if the two technically limited and extremely overhyped Jr.s - Eubank and Chavez - had met at 160 who would of come out on top? I'm going to roll with JCC JR.

True, but let's not forget he was dropped twice tonight, it isn't granite.

Is this gloating an attempt to disguise your pick in Jr's previous fight against the Turkish kebab roller? Quote ''Yildirin by ko''.
