Jennings has signed the fight and it will go down at April 25, MSG, New York.
For the Ring, WBA Super, WBO Super, IBF, IBO Heavyweight Championship.

Wich is the opposite what I expected after Wilder beat Stiverne. Because I thought he really wanted to fight his countryman in an all Haymon (pardon the pun) showdown.

So happy the Briggs farce is off the table.

I'll be honest, I would have preferred Wilder-Jennings.

Wlad brutalizes Bryant and gets a KO in 5, then KO's Fury and then KO's Wilder to become the Unified Undisputed World Heavyweight Champion Of The World.

Haymon and RNS don't get along. That contract situation would of been a mess. Plus more money and prestige fighting Wlad.

Wilder-Jennings would have gone to purse bid mandatory situation. Jennings could have made a lot of money in a bidding war between Roc and Haymon.

I'm really happy how this all turned out, except for me losing loads of vcash.

    1. Don King isn't in control of the WBC belt anymore.
    2. The US have a HW they can get behind, big fight coming.
    3. Wladschko fights Jennings instead of loudmouth Briggs.

Well that's something to be thankful for. A Briggs fight really would have been indefensible.

Good fight top ten opponent. The WBC #1 challenger. Solid voluntary.

Because there's no shame in losing to Wlad and at the same time making his career high money.

Moreover, he's bargaining power is likely to rise somewhat as a result.

Methinks he was considering taking a Stiverne fight, not the Wilder fight. As said previously, Roc Nation and Haymon do not get along by any means.

Plus, he probably got a slight bump in his purse for the Wlad fight by simply exercising his right to weigh the WBC mandatory option.

Let's hope Briggs truly is OFF the table. Somebody paid to get him ranked in the WBA's top 10 though. Which means K2 still might fight him after Jennings, if they get him into a mandatory position. :-(

So if Jenning can somehow pull off the win, from having no American heavyweight champion for nigh on 10 years, suddenly all the champions will be American!??

As I said Briggs was never in the mix. Jennings was waiting to see the outcome of the Wilder/Stiverne fight and would then make a choice. Too many people wanting to think the worst and that Briggs was actually being considered, Wlad's just trolling Briggs just enough to think he has a chance to get a fight and then slapping him away at the last minute.

Good voluntary opponent for Wlad. Jennings while nothing special has a couple of decent wins last year and being American allows a nice platform for Wlad to fight from to build a unification fight with Wilder. I'm loving the heavyweight division at the moment it's really livened up in recent years.
