just wanted to share my thoughts it seems a pritty decent year for british boxing despite a shaky start, rees, khan, lockett, enzo, williams are the big let downs but i think expectations werent ryding high on any of them atleast on esb. needless to say most of them where heavily exaggarated fighters and the biggest victim from there losses was warren more then the fans.
Hopefully we can see a few european champions next year in young up and coming prospects like appalbey, murray, mitchell, brook in 09 and may be nicky cook can still hold onto that title for a bit hopefully rhodes will get his title shot and more importantly we may have a star in the making in david haye theres alot to look foward to in 09.

    Yes.

However its not all roses looking ahead.

Maybe there is another fight out of Calzaghe.

Hatton was always the most likely to lose of the Brits in my opinion, and thats still to come.

Both of them are nearly done.

Then we are relying on Carl Froch and David Haye, both of whom are very risky to back against the best in their divisions. It's not like Calzaghe or Hatton where there was a sense of solidity about them going into fights, they both have very obvious flaws.

I don't think the talent level is too special. There are a couple I've got my eye on, Brook and maybe Vassell, but nothing much.
