Someone else mentioned wilder earlier in the thread. I was shocked to see that.

Shocked because he is clearly not a power puncher. He just has long levers and speed, so he has good head speed when he makes contact but absolutely nowhere near the power/class of Foreman, Tyson, etc.

I understand it's frustrating to see such a bum have power, but he actually does have power.. I don't like him either man. 42 kos in 43 wins? By definition, you have some CTE level power

Incidentally, but unrelated, when Foreman was asked who the must under-rated boxer in history was he said it was definitely Sonny Liston.

He's definitely a bum. His knockout ratio is what? Like 76%? Absolutely pathetic compared to George Foreman.

Mike Tyson, the guy who could never lie these days no longer rude nor an a hole has said regarding who punched the hardest: "what am I supposed to do? Ring everybody s door bell and ask them to punch me?" Lol. He commended lewis hit hard, so did Evander. But one thing is for certain, HIS OWN PUNCH he cannot obviously feel, so it must come down to Lewis who fought Mike and Evander. But the buck stops there. Lennox Lewis was not in the ring with shavers or big George

Where are you getting those numbers?
Look them up, someone just said he scored 42 KOs out of 43 wins.

Also KO ratio is not everything, nor total KOs-if it was the latter, you would be saying that Archie Moore, whose prime weight was no more than a reydrated LHW, hit the hardest ever.

KOs are a product of many things-skills such as accuracy, volume, combination punching, chin & endurance to be able to launch them, workrate...
Just using crude numbers absent context is like saying little Hack Wilson was the best hitter ever because he has the most RBI's for 90 some years.

When things like offensive eras, line up, ball park effect them-& it in no way measures total inependent offensive production...

Be careful about having a bias that is the mirror-image of a cliche of old-timers who always say the ancient athlete is better, but never look at things with a rigorous or fair perspective.
Just rooting for who you like or identify with or preferring bigger, badder or more recent fighters automatically is just as irrational man.

I've read it in an article, but don't remember the exact one. Here's what you find online from a simple search:

The part about equaling a sledge hammer was repeated to me by someone I contacted who worked for Bruno if that’s worth anything. They said it was measured but not how. I asked about his training and some technical stuff gullibly expecting Frank to respond lol.

Yes, Liston's body type and punch mechanics were similar to Foreman. Liston had better fundamentals and timing, Foreman had a little more raw power. Both were durable wrecking balls in the ring who lacked speed, but if they managed to hit you it would be tremendous pain.

Remove the space between "boxing" and "scene" in the link, it gets censored otherwise

They go on to all call OP a liar because nobody can find any proof, it didn't happen.

Yes these talk about Bruno's power, and say "Let's assume Tyson is equivalent..."

Nowhere does it compare power between different boxers.. Just Bruno's recorded punch.
