If you think Floyd somehow bent the rules by clinching Maidana on the inside then I guess you should consider Ricky Hatton's entire career null and void. Also the last 15 years of Bernard Hopkins career is void as well cause of clinching. Oh yeah and Kell Brook loses his title for clinching Shawn Porter
Mayweather fought smart tonight, it was no way in hell he was going to let Maidana tee off on him while he laying on the ropes this time, Maidana was easy work because of it.
I had no problem with Kell Brook at all, great performance....Hatton on the other hand I always felt clinched to hide his lack of skills....Floyd showed a lot of skill tonight, for anyone to think all he did was hold or run tonight they DKSAB!!
Hatton, B-Hop, Ward etc work on the inside, Floyd made no attempt to work. Floyd was not clinching, he was HOLDING.
All Mayweather did was run hold like a limpet & :|:| to Bayless who proved he is as corrupt as ever Joe Cortez was If you think holding & running is boxing then you DKSABatsch
Clinching is illegal, emphasized when the fighter steps forward to clinch it's not like when you get tangled up punching in the inside, and the ref is instructed not to break while the is at least one hand free but what does that matter.
Yet people **** on maidana as a floyd opponent because alexander beat him, yet he did so by clinching wayyy more then floyd...
Have you ever boxed Code Red? If you had, you would know Floyd was not clinching, he was holding. While holding, he did his trademark. Of holding the opponents arm and turning the elbow inwards while on the opposite side of the referee. When a replay is up, ill get you a small clip to show you exactly how dirty it is. Turning your elbow inside while moving away can be very painful. I got shoulder impingement while sparring from exactly that.
