Nothing like a bit of bad blood

Never really got the Smith hype and after watching the build up for this I am genuinely hoping that Quigley stands the ****ing gob**** on his face....


When he leaves the ring i'd love to see him volley a couple off on his brothers too. If ever there were 2 faces that craved a 1-2 it is them two !

 

I think in an issue of Boxing Monthly it stated that Quigley's Mrs was Smith's cousin.......

Will dig it out and see.

I agree 100% mate. Smith has made Quigley look more of a twat there by riling him before the cameras rolled, I don't think anything Quigley said was out of line before.

I will say this, it made me chuckle, but I've met Paul Smith twice in my life, and both times he's gone on about 'the Doorman act' - he loves using that line.

 

He's a gobshite and his brothers come across that way too. There's no way that Quigley would have just gone off like that for no reason. His brothers were all there baiting him too. Thought it was class when he said 'shut up Liam or you'll be in a fight too' and the camera panned around to Liam who had his face scewed up muttering something

And this doorman talk bores me too

 

I think that was Stephen with his face screwed up wasn't it?

Could see him mouthing "****ing *****" or something, so much for the fresh-faced innocent Team GB kid!!!

And I think Quigley may have been referring to one of his mates sparking Liam, but I could be wrong.

 

Yeah sorry it may have been although I think Quigley was reffering to HIM giving Smith a slap. If you watch the start of the video when he goes to confront Smith i'm pretty sure he said 'I'll go through you and i'll do him'

There seems to be a bit of a rivalry brewing between the Smiths and the Quigleys... This could be just the start. As long as it stays 'professional' brilliant: its a real talking point. Young Nick Quigleys a nice boxer too.

 

I know a few years back, before he suffered a few losses, that there was rumblings for Geard vs Smith at Light-Middle or Middle (can't recall) - and that's on the streets of Liverpool, not on the telly. And Geard is close mates with Tony. I think things have been said, but I don't know exactly what.

You could see from the vid that it was more than just fight promotion I felt.

Sure I heard Tony in the background, if you listen closely, at one point saying "I'll fight you on County Road" or something along those lines - which I thought was funny.

 

Yep its definately for real. Smith is a fighting man though. You can tell the way he speaks.

just getting ready to go, and got to say, although i fancy it will be a great fight, i am seeing a points win for smith, or possibly a very late stoppage victory.
Either way i dont care as long as he show quigley up for what he is tonight!
