It's all mind games...it's not like this is anything new. How many times has Floyd contradicted himself? It would be crazy NOT to expect this...

At this point, though, why WOULD it make sense for Floyd to keep discrediting Mosley during his interviews and press conferences? Why would you want to tell the public, "Yeah, I'm facing a guy that really sucks...5 losses and he's not a PPV attraction, so don't bother buying this fight." That makes absolutely no sense - of course he's going to build Shane up now that he's fighting him, that's how you sell PPVs. You make your opponent, regardless of whether it's true or not (in this case it happens to actually be true), look like he has a legitimate chance of beating you. This is especially true when you are Floyd Mayweather, who a large number of people want to see beaten to a bloody pulp because he opens his ridiculous mouth so much. People will buy a Floyd Mayweather PPV for that chance alone.

Did Floyd discredit Mosley before the fight was signed? Absolutely. Was this because he really didn't want to fight a high-risk fighter like Mosley for little money? Probably. Should we be surprised that any of this has happened, given who we're talking about? No.

    FIN.

Everybody keeps on repeating the line "Floyd's haters even buy the fight just to have the chance of seeing him lose."

    Is that really true?

Or is that true only for the supercharged, superhyped ODLH-FMJ fight?

They handled the 24/7 well that time, and they fueled the fire of the general public.

Do haters still wanna buy his fights just to see him lose, on all his pre-Oscar and post Oscar PPVs?

the scariest part is, floyd has only been whoopin' everybody with his C game. he hasn't seen the need to bring out his A game yet.

expect shane to come out with his A game, floyd whoops him with his B or C game. then money may goes back to his check cashing business after an easy fight. boxing's easy, generating millions is what he does best. creme de la creme.

Haha, wow...notice how I didn't mention Pacquiao's name once, and only SLIGHTLY said something bad about your idol Floyd, and I'm all of a sudden a *******? Get outta here, LukeO. You're known for being one of the biggest Floyd nuthuggers on ESB.

For your uneducated information, I would actually probably lean toward Mayweather in a May/Pacquiao matchup - but only slightly. I appreciate Floyd's talent, skill, defensive genius and the rest of the attributes he brings to the ring, but like many others I DON'T APPRECIATE HIS LACK OF CLASS. I respect him for what he can do in the ring, not for his arrogant remarks about how great he is.

I guess that makes me a ******* in your sad little world...

Of course people want to see Floyd lose, all his trash talking, all his camp talking about Floyd is ''undefeated'' without really beating any top elite fighters or great fighters in their prime.

Sure a lot of them do.

Maybe on replay or a free stream.

But buying the fight for 50 bucks just for the hope that you might see him lose?

I dont think there are THAT many fans who hate him that much.

I certainly wont buy it if I really hated him.

    floyd nut hugger?

I just respect the cash cow of boxing.
I can't see a single road that doesn't lead to mayweather, so that makes me a nut hugger? Nawww.... just realistic.

If he loses then you open a thread about how you were right and dropping a link to this thread. If you're wrong you still open a thread about how you were right and Shane is indeed old, then comes another thread "Mayweather is scared of <insert name here>". You're just another typical ape, nothing new.

You live in your own world man, maybe a cave in Afghanistan.Mayweather trash talked Mosley at the press conference long after the fight had been signed. He praised Jin Mosley as a good woman and wanted to buy Mosley's kids real suits. The guys were almost fighting and he told Mosley he was getting the biggest pay from Mayweather not Oscar.

Besides Mayweather was never forced to fight anyone,he just went for the most paying fight.Mayweather aint scared of no body,he fought an Oscar DelaHoya who was a WBC 154lbs champion and had been calling Mosley for long.
