Notice how the Haye fans say how much quicker Haye'd dispose of the Klit opponents?

But John Ruiz does have a solid chin. He also has a big heart. Granted he was shot and a win over him didn't mean anything, but it still doesn't disprove the fact that Haye is the most explosive man in the heavyweight division at the moment.

Is there a reason you left out Thompson and Chagaev? Because IMO Tony'd give Haye all he can handle, pretty underrated fighter, and Chagaev is a very skilled lefty operator, something entirely new to Haye. Also, Chambers is likely to have a lot more success vs. the shorter and often off-balance Haye, not only their fight would make the full 12, but IMO it'd be a competitive contest. Briggs and Arreola are made for Haye because they are not fast or very mobile and open for the right hand, though, like Sammy, possess the power to stop Haye if they can catch him off balance, something Monte ****ing Barrett did, but I agree that it's likely he'd finish them earlier.

Now I'm one of the very few, but I rate Juan Carlos Gomez the best Klitschko opponent other than Chagaev in quite some time, he's a very skilled though aged veteran with nice speed and snap. Even with the best behind him, Haye would have his hands full with the version that fought Vitali, and I think it's a difficult style fight for Wlad too. I was somewhat surprised how easily Vitali handled him.

Haye has great speed and power, but bad workrate and sometimes terrible balance, which makes an easy fight for him vs. slow come-forward fighters but a lot of difficulties vs. disciplined, skilled boxers. While I agree with some of the names, tell me, you base your opinion on exactly which HW Haye fight? Looking at who he fought at what stage, I wouldn't be so confident, there are so many question marks unanswered.

That sounds just as ridiculous as those guys who say Briggs wasn't washed up. Was Briggs also "up for that fight"? Was he in peak condition? Or was he way past his best days, just like a 38 year old Ruiz.

The truth is both were totally shot and just came for a last mercy payday.

And to hold Ruiz getting up in his favor is fascinating. If Haye's power at HW was so devastating, why did average-chinned Ruiz always manage to get up, compared to getting knocked out to another planet within 60 seconds by Tua?

Tua was a monster in his younger days. It would be unfair to compare Haye to him.

I'm guessing that Haye broke your heart - you really got behind him at the start and then later became disillusioned, didn't you? There's no other reason for the effort you put into hating him.

I have to agree, a lot of people seem to think, beating Valuev, Barrett, Ruiz = Haye KO's..........Povetkin, Solis, Adamek, Chambers, Peter, when as far as im concerned, no one, who has a chin, defense like Haye's, should be a dead cert to beat anyone, particularly when their resume is build on beating guys like Valuev, a guy who should of lost to a 40+ year old Holy, Barrett who was not that great to begin with, Ruiz who was 40, past best.

I'll change my mind if Haye knocks out Chagaev inside of 5 rounds. It would be a decent HW opponent for Haye who is *NOT* closing in on 40 years plus (at least to my knowledge) hasn't been knocked down before.

Haye is a boring safty first style boxer just like Wlad. Both were exciting earlier in their careers when Haye went life and death against Lolenga Mock for example but then they lost and both know their chins dont hold up to get thru with an excting style and they dont have the stamina to throw combinations all the time either. Haye just had several opponents at CW who were competitive. At HW hes picking opponents who are physically unable to put him under pressure since the test at a lower level against Barrett pretty much failed. Ruiz was ready to go in the first and 2nd round but Haye let him survive because he was afraid he would gass if he goes for the KO same way like Wlad does in most of his fights. The other fight he went 12 against Ismail Abdoul it was the same like in the fight a Valuev basically. Maybe thats goes thru as an exhibition fight though. In the fight with Macca he started slow and cagey too. Macca made a mistake and he capitalised from that early in the fight. It wouldnt surprise me too much if Haye would make Fraudley look like a halfway good fighter in their upcoming fight and rather goes home with a UD than taking any risk in case Fraudly doenst make any stupid mistakes and opens up for the hayemaker. If Wlad had competitive opponents or clould fight ATG heavys it´d be exciting to see him crawling around on canvas again too rather than one sided beatdowns against guys who cant touch him.

Wlad knocked him down in the 2nd.
I think Haye would gain a lot of respect if he´d fight a repectable Klit victim (so basically anyone but Sosnowski and Rahman) and beats him more convincingly than the Klit did. Though if he struggels then everyone will laugh about him and thats why i think that will never happen. He tells his fans Valuev and Ruiz were great because they never fought a Klit. Chagaev would be a good benchmark though. I´d rather see Haye taking on Chagaev than on Adamek.

Probably not. Which is what is so hilarious. You have to give props to Briggs, Chisora, etc. for being willing to take the fight unlike Haye, Povetkin, Solis etc.

Í never said Haye isn't "explosive". He can bang with both hands and has an ability to put together good combinations starting with either hand.

That doesn't mean he'd stop each and every one of the Klit opponents early though. In fact given his wide open defense and questionable work rate he'd probably find a way to put himself into trouble in a couple of the fights.
