'I can know I can beat ya':-(

The closest this fight came to being made was when that poisonous little **** named Ray shamelessly offered Witter a pittance for the fight:-(

Ray Hatton was a god for the Hatton haters.

That man ****ed up Hattons career so bad... in fact this conversation deserves a thread of its own.
Hattons father was the ruination of his son.

Its probably been discussed already, but I dont heavily involve myself in Hatton talk nowadays. Ray was the ruination of his son though, it was kinda spooky how Ray hired the man who should have been the ruination of Floyd jnrs career to be his own sons mentor...

Its almost as if Ray seen a bit of himself in Floyd snr... Its actually quite spooky when you look more deeply into it.

I wish they fought, any British fight fan does...it would've been an amazing occasion but I honestly do believe the fight not happening wasn't down to Hatton being scared of him

Not being a wide-o but why do you think that?

    I'm genueinly interested

Me either, I know I "may";) be biased but top class fighters are rarely scared of fighting each other. Sometimes the fights we'd like to see just don't come off and we have to move on...

What do you mean Ray was the ruination of his son? What did Ray do so wrong, that Ricky could have avoided if Ray wasn't onboard?

I don't think he affected Rickys career that much but Ray def. gave a lot of easy ammo to the haters.

I mentioned this in another thread and by bringing it up again I fully realise it reeks of name dropping but I managed to speak to a VERY boozed up Hatton last Friday in Dusseldorf and the only words me and my mate could prize out of him was ''i'd rather **** on Witter than fight him,**** on him'' and something about Mayweather not being able to sell tickets.

    He really does dislike him

And its only after seeing first hand how drunk he actually gets that I hope he never fights again. He'll probably get beat....even by Forbes

TBF,his comments about how Ricky should have pulled out of the Pacquiao fight because 'it wasn't Ricky in there' and that Manny was throwing wild shots were disgraceful:-:)lol:
BTW,what time is it in South East Asia?;)

    Of course of course...

    BUT!

Hatton made the mistake of turning up at Witter fights & then entering the ring to goad him, & then throwing his gumshield at Witter when he was ringside for his fights.
If you are gonna pull the toughguy ****, the fans expect you to to face your enemy in the ring. Hatton enjoyed winding Witter up, but never dared face him.
Its like me saying down my local about how I would destroy the pub hardman, & then not turning up when he popped in for a pint!

    Thats how I see Hatton-Witter.
& thats how I think that this is the only fight that makes sense anymore, its still the big one.

    When did that happen?
I heard that Hatton made jokes(and then repeating them over and over)about how he had to shout at the bloke next to him at Witter fights:-(

I know what you're saying Dunks but theres no way Hatton is going to fight Witter this close to the "finishing post".

Around the Smith fight (not quite sure) but Hatton threw his gumshield at Witter and said something like "I'm going to ****ing have you". SkyTV had to apologize for the language.

I was sure then the fight was going to happen but.....
