Dunky, firstly I ain't no Hatton hugger as you might say. I used to enjoy watching his fights but I never fell for the 'local lad done good' bull****.

Witter started the 'feud' way back, calling Hatton out as soon as he started becoming well known. Hatton back then would have absolutely smashed Witter to bits (if you don't beleive me you should post a poll entitled "Prime vs Prime who wins, Hatton or Witter"). Subsequently Hatton would rather die than give Witter a pay day. It's personal, it has nothing to do with who is the best brit and all that crap. Hatton hates him with real passion.

Also I am sure that Hatton doesn't really care what 'the fans' want (IF they want him to face Witter) so a few people saying he ducked Witter will not shame him into making the fight.

I will finish off by again saying that I think Hatton should retire anyway.
The vast majority of knowleable fight fans know he was much more than a "hyped belt holder who got a lucky win over a shot Kostya Tszyu".
Indeed, would Witters die hard fans like to hear in the future that they're man was a "hyped occasional-belt holder who got a lucky win over a shot Ricky Hatton"???

The only thing Hatton should do is retire.
    :good

Icemax is a British boxing fan, is a very knowledgable guy and is a far bigger Witter fan than most on here who pretend to give a **** about Hatton-Witter just because they want to have a go at Hatton .

Look at his take on Hatton-Witter. Great fight, its a shame it didn't happen but its not the end of the world.........thats the bottom line;)

Hatton should retire...........the only people who will enjoy this are his fans who will have another night on the lash......:nut

It will have to be at Man City's ground as that is the only placce big enough to hold any contest....

I just wish the right people would convince Hatton to retire... he does not seem to be listening.....

What will it prove if he fights on? What will he acheive fighting on? Hatton never had the WBC strap around his waist at 140 and had the opportunity to go and get it but chose not too......

I have followed Hatton for many years..... it is all getting a bit tedious now....:yep

    bang on Dunky.

look at that video everyone. Hatton has been running from Witter for years....mixing up the excuses. The boy is an overrated joke and always has been.

    Very true.

Even if Hatton won big there would be times when he is made to look bad.

Forbes is way to wrong for a confidence building comeback fight.
