Interesting, they're moving him VERY quickly. I'm giving this to Botha. HOME MORE SPORTS BOXING SBW TO FIGHT IN SOUTH AFRICA NEXT All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams's next boxing bout will be in South Africa, says report AAP August 18, 2012 2:51PM Departing All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams will contest a heavyweight boxing fight in South Africa in November, according to media reports. South African newspaper Beeld reported Williams will fight heavyweight Francois Botha on November 17 in Durban. Speculation has long surrounded the prospect of a fight against 43-year-old professional Botha, known as the "White Buffalo''. Boxing promoter Thinus Strydom told the newspaper final details around the fight had been completed this week. Botha is a hardened boxer, having compiled a record of 48 wins from 58 fights, including 29 knockouts. Opponents have included Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, Axel Schulz and Wladimir Klitschko. If he ever fully commits to boxing, he'll do well. He has major technical flaws though but at this stage, his opposition isn't good enough to take advantage of them.
Billy Dee Williams vs old Botha. I hope Botha has one more win in his old bones. Old Botha must beat Billy Dee Williams!
Oh well at least it's better than the same old tomatoes cans he's been knocking over, still I didn't realise Botha was alive still lol.
He doesn't hit very hard at all, he needed about 50 power shots there and didn't even put that fat bum down, and tillman has a terrible glass chin, he's been knocked unconscious by much smaller men than Williams. Also yes, his footwork and handspeed are dire, takes more than a few training camps to fix that
Botha was shot many many years ago, and SBW can cope with guys who have forgotten more than he will ever know. after only 5 fights in his entire career, Sonny is choosing to step up and take on recognisable names.
He's 27 years old and fights once a year, if he doesn't "step up" he will be an old man before he gets anywhere. Don't know why we are discussing him anyway, do you think he's ever going to face a top level heavyweight? He'd get brain damaged It'll either be fat jokes, amateurs out of pubs, or names from decades ago who shouldn't be allowed in a boxing ring
Yea I think the aim of his boxing career is to retire 20-0 with one or two notable names on the resume so he can say "I could have been the greatest". Look for SBW to fight Tua when he is 35 and Tua is 48.
