This scenario has Tyson getting his licence back after bite fight. Don King finally has tempted both Tyson and George Foreman to meet in the ring. No warm up fight for Tyson his last fight been the Holyfield disq. George Fought the previous year and lost to Brigg's The fight is massive,an immediate sellout. 10 rounds Who you got??
Tyson pretty easily. There is a chance he makes it look harder than it should but I’d be stunned if this version of Foreman beat even 1998 Tyson.
No problem mate. As for the thread, Tyson was very much past it in '98.... but Foreman had been retired for over a year and in his final bouts had started to (finally) show his age. I think Tyson still takes it. I think the Foreman of the Holyfield bout would have a much better chance against '98 Tyson.
Oh yes definitely. That George took a bloody ridiculous amount of punches and still hung in there. The thing is with this fight tho, Tyson s really not himself now is he? The biting has really shoved him into a dark place and he never really looked brilliant again. So anything could happen here really, I know George wasn't looking good by then, but he had that calmness still in the ring. I think it would have been interesting to watch at least.
Mike Tyson knocked out Shawn Michaels with one punch in 1998, but George definitely had a better chin than the Heartbreak Kid.
This is possibly the worst time in history to try to match up these two. Both were far past their best, inactive, and coming off of a loss. What's the point...? It would mean absolutely nothing with no belt on the line and wouldn't even generate that much money/interest given all the terrible conditions surrounding the fight.
