prior to the opening bell in the jones-trinidad fight at the garden this year, they showed a fan holding up a sign that said PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD ROY

that's what i'm saying for november 8... and i don't mean the OLD roy, the one we have now, but the old roy, the one y'all must've forgot about, the unstoppable one

objectively i dont see roy winning but subjectively... i can't help it, i've been waiting a long time for someone to beat that ass silly... after the first round of calzaghe's last fight, i thought b-hop might be the one to do it but the old man just didn't have enough in the tank

but he did expose some weaknesses... and so did kessler... isn't it in the realm of possibility that roy can exploit those? yeah it's at least a 10 to 1 longshot or worse, but i'm rooting for roy big time.... hoping that he pulls out 1 last great performance, one like he had when he last faced a light heavy from great britain and just flat out embarrassed him

u can call me a calzaghe hater and i'll fully admit it, the guy just seems to have such an annoying personality

I have nothing against Calzaghe, but seeing the old Roy making one last hurray would ROCK.

I heard that Roy claims his decline was due to coming back down from heavyweight taking its toll. If he's right and he's back to or close to his old best then Calzaghe loses this fight.

As a very clever individual once said to me:

"They mighta forgot, but we won't right?"

We have not. Let's hope Roy can roll back the years for at and give Calzaghe a pasting.

I think RJ has a good shot at beating JC. If the odds go over 2 to 1 in favor of calzaghe, you would have to like that value.

i want the best RJJ to step in the ring with calzaghe. i have followed calzaghe since the ried fight and i grew up with RJJ so i want to see both fightes do themself proud i do not want to see RJJ on the ropes and fighting for 20seconds a round

I'd love Roy to bust Joe's ass. That would truly be a great moment.

It hurts that Calzaghe defeated an old Hopkins, when a prime Hopkins would have dealt with Calzaghe

it hurts tht a old Roy jones jr will lose to calzaghe, but a prime RJJ would have murdered calzaghe.

Bring back the old RJJ, even calzaghe wife and dad knows a Prime RJJ will own Calzaghe.

Calzaghe is a joke and Roy is old and senile. I'm hoping for a brutal double K.O. :happy

the OLD roy is long gone...

    r.i.p.:hat

but if super RJJ suddenly comes back, it's gonna be a BAAD NIGHT for joe c

the last time i saw FLASHES of rjj's greatness was during rjj-tarver 3 (havent seen the whole fight of rjj-tito yet and rjjs fights after 3rd match with tarver). too bad he cannot sustain it anymore
