And Miranda blamed his nutritionist. These guys are always looking for a reason in their own minds. And I'm sure they convince themselves. But don't put any more into it than that.

As much as I would love to see it but this won't happen, you think Calzaghe will even sign to fight Roy if there was a 0.01% chance the old Roy will show up even for 1 minute during the fight?, the answer is no and the proof is out there when both were active back when Calzaghe wanted no part of it.

The only reason it's signed now is because Calzaghe knows it's a big money fight and this is an extremely shot and old version of Roy, even the version of Roy that struggled vs Tarver in the first fight then lost the rematch was going to be too much for Calzaghe and there is a reason this fight wasn't even discussed and is now signed. Roy is an all-time favorite of mine and it would DISGUST me to see him lose to this guy so I'll be cheering for him regardless of his performance and will always know that if Roy does bring even 20% of what he once had then this fight is in the bag, otherwise he loses.

Roy cant handle punchers but he is in his element in a slap fest. In a battle of who gets the most touches he has a chance. This fight will be like amatuer boxing they ought to have their gloves tipped in white with the judges pressing a button everytime someone gets touched.

If RJJ was to actually pull this off and win in style. Where would it rank amoung his wins?

I'm sorry but RJJ had been viciously knocked out by a super light hitting light heavy in glen johnson, he ain't got nothing at all left to offer and if Calz is half the man all his fans say he is he should knock him out just like all other guys his size seem to do these days

I have really tried to look at this fight in every angle, and I dont see how Roy Jones can beat Calzaghe. It would be great to see Roy Jones in his prime go up against Calzaghe and his prime to see what would happen.

But after thinking about it carefully, maybe it is best we never see prime Roy Jones fighting Calzaghe, so we will always have something to say over the Calzaghe fans here on the forums.

I do not know if Jones can pull this one off but I expect him to b at least competitive. The old Jones will never come back.

I think many on here are underestimating Jones chances in this one.

Calzaghe is definitely over the hill now and his lack of punching power is a concern for me. I am more worried about Jones than I was about the Hopkins fight.
