This is one of my boxers after 5 hours coaching ...

Not mayweather but lots of correct technique which I'm pleased with

Nice brown! Honestly technique looks good and performing it slowly is even better for him. Great work, keep it up!

Thanks pal I try my best I think the coaching the fundamentals is just the earl aspect of coaching. I'm a qualified pt so I know how to periodise program's but to be a great coach you need something else, other qualities. You need to see things differently to the also rans and that's where I think I can excel I'm starting to understand the sport on a very subtle level thanks largely to my dealings with one of the best coaches I've ever met in my life- Howard Rainey. He changed the way I think about everything, and also my own coach Kevin Maree he's brilliant. Totally underrated.

That is impressive .I could be going with a few 121's man but there's no one near me that does them .Then maybe I could fight .3 yrs on and off in a gym roughly .No chance i'm fighting this season .Everything is almost there I say a few of them and a few rounds of sparring .You need to go to my gym for about 6 months non stop though before you get signed up .The training and quality is just not there for me man ( guaranteed sparring and good results etc )It's mostly young boys that go to the boxing ( 6.30 7.30 gents fitness ) ( 7.30 9.00 boxing but mostly boys about 14 ) I want to go to thailand for 1 month you can get them 121's etc and quality sparring .

I've trained for boxing mate for 3 yrs but I still haven't fought .
I would like to do 1 month in Thailand to learn muaythai though .I could probably learn more in that space of time about thai than i've learnt about boxing over the yrs because they train every day .

I'm not sure about that... Good progress is made by drip feeding and practice - most coaches I've seen and to be fair I'm talking about the bottom end of coaches try and teach too much too soon. !!! If I was coaching someone every day for a month I've no doubts they'd improve but I like to focus on a max of three things per session - so 3 things per week

its depressing at the lack of quality coaching in the sport you enjoy.
