I have no idea what the relevance of this is. Please could you explain? :?

Does Pac go down, because we know he's fighting David Diaz?

Yes I will explain the relavence. I don't feel either fighter should vicariously inherit the p4p number one title until both men have next performed.

So you would have #1 vacant?

Matt Barney was the last man to go the distance with Froch so he has got to be p4p #2. No one can take the power of the cobra. I can see why Hopkins bypassed the SMW division and why JC also jumped ship. Froch is the king.

Yup as I stated previously. I'm actually sad you no longer take a vested interest in my posts.

    Good one.

Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Carlos Quinatanta, Torres, Lovemore Ndou, Paulie Malgigigigi.... Cottos opponent list is as good as anyones in the sport apart from mayweather IMO.

Well said. Cotto is putting an impressive resume together whereas the less said about Calzaghe's the better quite frankly.

What are you talking about? Joe was WBO champion for 10 years, surely that automatically makes him an ATG.

Cotto's resume is not more impressive than Calzaghe's overall. It's a great start for him though, and I see him as the future long-term #1 with Pacquiao out of his depth now, and Calzaghe soon to retire

Don't get me wrong fella, it's good. And subsequently the form line has held up really well (Quintana, Torres, Paulie all claiming belts afterwards).

But put it this way; have you ever expected him to lose before any of his fights?

I did against Mosley, couldn't see a way for Cotto to win that one myself. It proved a lot about his strength and resilience at 147. I regard that as his only bona fide test to date though, which he came through well enough. Zab is gatekeeper material these days IMO.

Like I say if he beats Margy he's real elite material for me and is the man at Welter.

Key point though is that Mosley is the only fight I didn't 95% expect him to win.

I think the best answer to that is to quote my friend the great and legendary Julio Cesar Chavez when it was suggested as undisputed Lightweight champion of the world he might move up to higher weights and take the WBO title as a stepping stone. Julio Cesar God bless him was bemused as to what was a WBO. Says it all really.
