Just as I predicted, Hopkins would win on pts.... but he even shocked me - a non-believer in Pavlik - by how easy he would win.

I thought maybe an 8-4 victory for Bernard by WHAT A SCHOOLING !

It just goes to show how A LOT of people will overrate a young fighter on the back of a couple of good wins & possibly ruin his career.

I hope now we dont have to listen to this `Calzaghe is scared of Pavlik` bull**** because Enzo was right.... Hopkins DID win easy.

Just be thankfull that it was B-Hop & not JC that beat Pavlik because half of you headcases would have commited suicide.

Last words have to go to Hopkins.... Brilliant, masterclass, astonishing, a real legend forever set in stone. I wish him all the best in future life & fights.

    :thumbsup

What odds that Pavlik is ruined? Seriously. He's young, but its gonna take a lot to come back from that. He needs to stay the **** away from 175, and I don't even think 168 will do him any good. A few blown up 154ers might be required. ****in well FORGET Joe Calzaghe, that ship has sailed Kelly :hi:

Pavlik needs to get himself back in the mix and should fight Arthur Abraham to sort out who the best Middleweight is.

Calzaghe, always inclined to mix things up in terms of tactics, would be in Pavlik's face slapping him up one minute, then boxing his head off the next.

The angles he creates would not allow Pavlik to plant his feet; his excellent chin coupled with Pavlik's reduced power at a higher weight does not bod well for Pavlik. Hopkins hurt Pavlik on several occasions. Calzaghe, who is known to throw a lot of fists, would surely overwhelm Pavlik and possibly stop him late. I honestly think it would be a beatdown of Jeff Lacy-style proportions.

Pavlik should fight Rubio next. I honestly did NOT want to see this fight, every time it got mentioned I was like 'Why the Hell does anyone wanna' make this fight'.

But it's now a decent mid-level contest to get Kelly back into the swing of things. Another confidence builder after that and he may be back on to fight Abraham this time next year.
