A lot of people here kept saying that Peter is much better than Valuev and can KO Valuev easily. You guys are wrong. Valuev dominated McCline in the first 2 rounds and the good performance by McCline in the third round just showed the frustration and desperation of Jameel and the proof is the injury at the end of the round. He was just trying too hard, more than he can handle. I know that styles make fights, but come on, Valuev proved to have the best chin in the division, he can dominate Peter easily.

Fight? No one could really say which way the cat jumped after those two fairly close rounds.Bad luck for McCline that he injured his knee after 2 rounds. However,no one can truly deduce anything telling from his short encounter with Valuev.

Valuev didnt look that convincing against Bergeron, but neither did Peter in yesterday's fight against McCline.
I for my part dare to say that they are both more or less on the same level.
Both Peter and Valuev are decent fighters, but nothing special at all.
Both can be outboxed, and both can be knocked out by big bangers like Virchis,or the Klitschko brothers.
Valuev has made the best out of his abilities and his limitations, and Peter can bang ,but has been hyped and overestimated by a lot of people IMO.
    Anyone seen Valuev vs Sidon?
The great Cuban hope Solis wiped the floor with Sidon whereas Valuev struggled with him.
Peter? He had to go the full route with feather fisted Jodo Pudar, had two lame fights with that fat dwarf Toney, and got his ass kicked by Paolo Vidoz at the last olympic tournament.

Anyway! An encounter between Peter and Valuev would still be attractive due to their different styles.
The totally unknown African who fights out of the USA is certainly no crowd puller, but Valuev can fill any arena on German soil, one of the most important box markets on this planet.
A pity that Valuev vs Peter wont come off within the next couple of months!

    valuev did not dominate mccline.

and the other argument has to be one of the most stupid statements i ever saw as the injury was just some stupid incident and nothing that can be seen as a sign of valuev's dominance or whatever. you've got to be crazy.

peter ko's valuev within eight rounds.

yes, theres no way you can compare the two. peters won one 'disputed' decision. valuev has a career of them.
