Now I can't blame Deontay Wilder if he refuses to fight Anthony Joshua in the UK

I think we all get a little nostalgic. The guys you listed were good to great, but there were also John Ruiz, Owen Beck, Kirk Johnson, Calvin Brock, Jameel McCline, Michael Grant etc.
I think the heavyweight division usually has the widest disparity of talent. You got guys that look like beasts in one fight and then they look like exposed bums in their next fight.

If wilder knocked Joshua down, refery would prob help him get up and would give him as much time as needed to recover. Refery once carried Cleverly back to his corner when Kovalev knocked him down. Nothing is impossible in UK .

They should fight in fair, fair ground like Ali - Foreman in Kinshasa Africa or Ali - Frazier in Thrilla in Manila or similar.

Isn't that ironic? It's totally unlike Wilder's referee doing everything he can to protect and give every advantage to Wilder vs Ortiz? Omg, the horror?

    The view from New Zealand:

NZ Herald - 'Parker was brave, but couldn't hurt Joshua'.

Kevin Barry - 'Joshua dominated the first 6 rounds, he boxed really well and took 5 of them'
'Joshua's weaknesses we worked on were not present, he had improved upon them'
'Our judge from New Zealand scored it the widest'
'We were beaten by the better, bigger man'

Joseph Parker - 'We were beaten by the better man on the night'

Ultimately Wilder can do what he wants but if he wants to prove himself the best he needs to face Joshua.

If Wilder knocks AJ out in the UK, they'll call it a draw.

After many years of watching British and other boxers going to the US and falling foul of hometown refereeing and suspect score cards there's a certain amount of schadenfreude in seeing US fans decrying the same thing happening in reverse, but it doesn't make it right.

Terrible referee and a very questionable appointment. I don't think it really affected the result, because I think AJ would've done well inside, but it could've done in other circumstances. Disappointing, if hardly surprising. Boxing no longer surprises me in this regard, sadly.
