I noticed that Pacquiao had some nice defensive moves at times. He is clearly getting better in that departement.

The judges were all listening to Jim Lampley. That's the only way I see them scoring it for Pac. He made some of the most absurd biased comments ever in a fight.

Rd 1 "Marquez has a slight red mark on his nose from a Pac left hand. It is in the upper right side of his nose. A red mark"

Rd 2 "After Marquez counters Pac hard with a straight right(everyone is quiet..) Jim Lampley a few seconds later "Marquez lands a body shot but misses with the right hand" Really Jim? He punched him hard dead in the face. I wish I had the gif of the punch. More to come.

 

Finally a post worth responding to.
Yes he did improve in the defense department as he was blocking tons of JMM punches.
No way it can predict the outcome of a fight, but if you look at compubox numbers, this is the only time that Pac outlanded JMM, and I attribute that to his improved defense, balance, patience and timing.

Also, his footwork, albeit still unpolished, was a sight to behold.
There were lots of times that he was moving in-and-out flawlessly like when he fought ODLH, although this time it was against a master counterpuncher who moves beautifully in the ring, who is not weight drained and not shot.

 

Don't know how *******s score fights but I base my scores on things such as Ring generalship, clean and effective punches, amount of dominant rounds, etc.

Based on that JMM clearly deserved to be the winner!:deal

 

epic fail... the correct phrase is "the proof of the pudding is in the eating"... meaning one must actually watch the fight to be able to draw conclusions.

 

Marquez and Pacquiao butted heads you ****ing moron! That's why his eye swelled up a bit. Marquez landed the harder shots throughout the whole fight.

Rd 8 JMM (clear and 2nd most dominate rd. JMM cant miss the right hand)
Rd 9 JMM (****ing all day. Most exciting rd. Pac landed a few in the exchange but JMM landed combos before and after the fire fight and he gave as good as he got. JMM landed COMBOS and uppercuts)
Rd 10 EVEN (I originally gave this rd to Pac but he really did not do **** and JMM was tagging him while he was worry about the cut. Pac did land in the exchange so I guess he evened it out)
Rd 11 EVEN (Hardest rd to score. Pac one the first minute clearly landing about 3-4 hard left hands cleaner than any prior rd. Marquez won the other 2 minutes landing good shots here and there Pac was doing nothing)
Rd 12 JMM (clear.. ****ing clear. Pac landed about 2 shots partially all round)

Pac won 3 rounds clearly. Two rounds are debatable that you could score both for Pac and the best he gets is a 7 rounds to 5 loss.

Robbery. Pac lost no doubt. The only thing he did was "try" ever round and never gave up until the 12th where PACQUIAO stopped fighting really. All that aggressor bull****. JMM never ever ran from him at any point. He was right there. All night.

 

deal Preach that ****. The head butts caused Majority of Marquez facial damage and swelling. If you watch the butts JMM went in face first and there were a lot of small head butts. Especially during the wild exchanges. :rofl:rofl
