What bothered me was the "fighting in DC" comments... Hey Khan... you signed the contract to fight in DC. You knew the deal and to turn around and blame the city and country for your loss is a sign of a desperate man to put blame on anything he can but himself.

I'll be honest tho, I supported Khan as an amature but never warmed to him as a pro. I have never really warmed to Froch either tho. Perhaps because Hatton and Calzaghe both operated in the same weight class and I supported them when I first got into boxing.

You are spouting your bias against Khan. First off the champ fought the challenger in his backyard when he didn't have to that deserves respect. Khan was respectful towards Peterson both before and after the fight. Khan deserved the win just as much as Peterson and it was referee's decision to take point in the 12th round that made the difference so he was right in feeling that way.

His complaint was towards the referee, justifiably so. He should not made a blanket statement about DC not getting big fights but that was in the moment of the heat. Other fighters have said far worse and disrespectful things.

 

See Naseem was arrogant, but in an entertaining way. I like Khan as a fighter Post Prescott, but he isn't naturally charismatic as a personality. Hatton had his working class humour, Eubank and Bruno had eccentricity, but Khan is very business like and cold.
Big brit favourite at the moment is Tony Bellew, because he's humble and tells it straight. By contrast, when he lost to Cleverly, his post fight press conference probably gained him a ton of fans because he applauded his opponent and made no excuses.
Also, I think a lot of people found it easy to root for Peterson because of how hard he worked to get here. Brits also love a good underdog!

 

I guess he can stop talking about Mayweather/Pacquiao now and focus on beating the guy in front of him

 

One thing I'll give Khan his due for though is that he's one of the most consistently exciting fighters out there.
